    Panic poker
Hi guys, i m asking for directions here.
latley asnd because of so many loses against tricky opponents, i had enter into an panic poker scenario where my confidence is down to the floor. i STILL CAN GET ANY TRACTION because as good as i can play alway end up short by the river or another bad beat
an exemple here is i was 11 with 14 to go into a 400 tournamnet only the 10 make the money so the play was very tide. hit ak suded raise someone call me all in he just hav e like 40 chips more than me.
flop came a8k tourn 2 river a 7 , oc course as you think my opponent held pocket 7, on another one on the same week, the same scenario on a 40 dollars seat and go put a big raise wit Ak on the bottom, the small blind call all in with K5 flop came k98 tourn j river a 5..... on a cash tables the same scenario repeats again an again no matter what i play, i had tide my game so much that i only play jj qq aa kk and many times got crushed even weith those hands.
I have lost my confidence , i feel that i m in a noman lands.
This friday i will go to a lve game and i will tell the story there, sometimes i really belive that the programming is rigged and so many player that i find on line say the same thing that i start to belived to.
any input will be gratly apprecietd/

The programming is not rigged and you are probably going through a rough patch of variance if not just playing badly. I already told you what to do in another thread.

as i said in earlier threads , every poker site have a "winning key " you need to learn the site specific traps, the poker sites earn money with the aggressive players, when you want to have success in online poker first thing is you have to learn to be patient, and after that go on here are 2 personal tipps from based on my online expriencem DONT raise preflop too much except you have rockets or KK or QQ site rewards players that outplay their opponnents, and dont go all inwith low pocket pairs unless you are short stacked, just call and see the flop for cheap, and if you hit your set then push

        That is bad advice.

To the OP, take a break and do something else you like to do besides poker. It doesn't have to be a long one or even more than a few hours. Just do something to reward yourself for all the hours you logged. It may be difficult to do, but play a few sessions/tournaments without worrying about results. Instead of trying to win, set your goal to just trying to play well. Focus on trying to play well instead of winning and reward yourself if you do regardless of the outcome.

Dear Mrmarket : I probably going trough a difficult face , i agree with you there, it can also been a bit of bad reading, and, unlike many of you, poker is mapassion but not my daily activity, i play at nite 4 to 7 hours after a long day at work in my own business where i m a mnufacturer and a landlord so problems are everywere.
I refuse to donate dollars to any poker room since I starteed to play on line, i made watever dollars on frerolls and took from there to build my bank.
So for the time been i m condem to play small stacks and small tournaments till i can get traction and then move on. I m deffenetly doing better on live games where my banck is very helthy, is on line that i nhave the problem and I m trying to get the confidence back.
I belive that Roxxy has a point so No 1 here where i take most of the advice since he has proven that it can be done, and I m presuing his footsteps, and actulaly Ferguson's since he was able to make that money from 1 dollar.
It is not esy it is hard, but is poker, and the bad beats are more than the rewords for the time been.
I m trying to get back to do wht I did last october whrn i run from 3 dollars won on a freroll at Bodog to 250 in amatter of 3 weeks.
Bad play and bad bankroll managment took all that money, but i did the same 3 time already, so far I m in my 4th try, and I do not know how many it will take.
Your advice is very important as well of many of you here, and i hope that one day i can tour arround this bad patch.

dont chase and try to get back your losses. play your game and your bad streak will end. i always take a week off and when i come back the streak is usually over
