its just called omaha, not omaha holdem, and it is a completely different game than seven card stud. just google them. i cant believe all of the stupid questions i read on the internet on a daily basis. why dont people just google stuff and do a bit of research for themselves. youll find a way better and more in depth description of both games than youd find on here.

Two different games. Never learned how to play stud myself. Omaha can be fun to play if you know what your doing. You can easily make a huge hand in omaha.

Omaha is the best game imo. More playable hands leads to more action and bigger pots. High Stakes Poker on GSN needs to seriously consider dropping HoldEm for Omaha.

Stud is a limit game which is a huge difference from "regular" holdem or omaha that people play. in fact I have only came across one limit omaha game in my life (doesn't make sense since there will be too much implied odds)

Omaha is an action game. 7 Card stud is a game old men from Atlantic City play. Both are enjoyable though.

Stud was THE poker game variant to play for many years. Only relatively recently has Hold 'em been the game.

(MadTiger Trivia: Hold 'em was invented by ranch hands who had only one deck available, and almost a dozen muthafuggas who wanted to gambool it up. Two hole cards each, plus community cards for all.)
