    collusion
what percent of players work togather online? anyone have a guess? i have seen a few players playing oddly that makes me beleive they are cheating. lucky for me i figured this out and it worked to my advantage. neither of them cashed in the two i played with them.

Most sites have security teams that will take notice when a few players are ALWAYS on the same tables.

I'm mainly a cash game player when I play and I think it does happen to some extent. You could get 3-4 players with wireless air cards dominating on a 6-max table. This could probably go undetected if they all play at more than one table with different people and log on and off at different times. So if a player with a winrate of 2BB/100 decides to do this even on only one table of their many tables, I'm sure they could see their winrate increase to at least 5BB/100 which is very respectable. A winrate of 5BB/100 at certain limits could make you 50k-100k/year.

Also I've heard stories of 3 guys colluding together and entering 4-person HU Tournaments. So basically 1 player is guaranteed to play in the final match, and lots of the time they eliminate the odd man out in the first round and enjoy their easy cash.

its not illegal to colude in 4-person HU tournaments and lots of people team-play, its perfectly legal by the poker sites.

I have not noticed two of the same players at the same game time after time. Maybe I missed it...

some people play like 20-30 tables so it won't be rare to see the same names over and over again.....

i take notes on both players I see in sitngos that look like they're doing this... when I see them both back at the table I know to be careful... not hard to spot, when you get down to 4 people left (top 3 pay), you see them never playing each other

call me crazy, but maybe, just MAYBE everyone plays a lot tighter near the bubble. I know this concept is hard to grasp and some might even call me insane for suggesting it, but is it possible that these players just want to cash and not risk losing their stack/doubling someone up?

A lot of the time the way the cards shake out at the bubble it feels like a couple people are colluding against you. Colluders aren't enough to hurt the profits of good sit n' go grinders, so it's probably not that big of a problem. Also, skilled colluders are rare. Usually they're doing it because they can't beat the games themselves, and it's rare that the collusion helps.

If three people want to play a 4 person HU tourney... LMAO! The only thing they're accomplishing is paying more rake.

Use to be on pokerstars 2 guys from Phoeniz that were always in the same PLO games together.

As many as 6 tables at a time , never saw both of them see the same flop ever. Hard not to believe they were in together.

ah, the "best hand" system of collusion, plus it's PLO, so dude, we'll know 4 cards out of the deck! Clowns probably got stacked every time someone had a case card.

High percentage. At least on FT. I've been invited to do it several times by randoms on there. In fact, the only way I'll ever sit in a ring game on there now would be if I was doing it myself.
