One of My Very First Hands At Pokerstars, you've just gotta laugh...
I couldn't sleep tonight and figured I'd try another poker room out, but could only get $100 in through epassporte to pokerstars. About the fifth hand in pot limit omaha I get TT86 all in vs. 4XXX on a flop of T44, only to have the river bring a four. The 2nd hand we had a straight flush beat a full house. I worked in a casino the majority of my life, and simply find it hard to believe that this can happen in a roughly five hand sequence. I guess it's worth the $100 for the comedy, but I learned my lesson real quick to keep looking lol . I'll try to find and copy the hand....

Hey BB, Well BB that certainly was a sick beat, no doubt about it, however you made some poor decisions on the way there.

1st terrible decision going into a 1-2 nl omaha game with a BR OF $100. you should of never been there to see that hand.

2ndly you should of never called his raise of 7$ with that hand.
especially with no other players, your getting no value, and deciding to play that hand HU was not a good decision in my opinion especially vs a guy with a big stack.

Finally the flop hits and PS makes you pay by f. u.c.k.in.g you with a 1 outer, ugly?? absolutly, certainly no getting away from the hand after the flop, but to late by then, as your 2 poor decisions prior, directly affected the outcome of the hand and your BR.

Hey Al, you definitely know your stuff. Thanks for taking the time to give suggestions. I can generally hold my own in poker, but am no doubt a sports handicapper first and foremost. Unfortunately my bank is declining all epassporte and poker site credit card deposits, and they would only take $100 via echeck. It's tough to go from betting thousands on football games to playing small stakes poker, but you are no doubt right about playing above my bankroll nonetheless. I've heard it said before that some of the worst play you'll ever witness is a person playing for stakes far below their general bankroll, as they tend to treat the money fairly lightly.

I definitely hear what you're saying in regards to heads up value as well. I look forward to picking your brain more in the future. Cheers mate...

Hey BB, i appreciate the kind words, and unlike yourself poker is certainly my main thing and sportsbetting more of a really fun hobby, if i can describe it that way.

I lack control when it comes to betting the NFL as many times in the past i'd chase a terrible sunday into a really sick monday night, into a desprete tuesday trying to come up with scratch to pay the man, i still play but nothing serious for like 6 years.

Where as i usually play poker everyday either online or live.

As far as me giving you my opinions on things poker related np if i can be of any help to you.

I can tell from your post that your a sharp guy,in that sharpiees usually take fiendly advice as just that, and usually have a taste for learning ,where as others often feel (as has happened in the past here) that im berating them.

By the way i basically play 90%of my online play now at PS, as no other sight seems to be have all PS has. although the games are tougher now.FULL Tilt has chilled me with there non existant c.s.

If you ever get the itch to take another shot there ,do what you said ,buy in for at least 10 times the amount you actually started with last time(i understand the epassport thing)but with a dime you CAN make a SCORE there.

They have somthing called "USE YOURBANK" which you can get that amount in just minutes or send them a western union, your account ALWAYS gets credited within an hour.

just one question why the expos logo?
any signifigance to you?to me yes
