#2Harrington on Hold'em and Super System are classic. Although Hoh might be getting old since 99% of people ahve read it. Still good for basic concepts. Too many good books out there but I have a special liking for Every Hand Revealed. It's defintiely not the best book out there but it is a very fun read and it's cheap and gives you very good insight. Shouldn't take away anything specific in it, but intuition will take off if it hits you.Comment -

#41. NLHE Theory and practice by David Sklansy, Ed Miller
2. Harrington On Hold'em is a great one. Kind of like cheap coaching.
3. Super System 2 best book to learn all forms but the nl part is outdated to me.Comment -

#5nothing beats playing time.
learning how to spot betting patterns and tells is the biggest edge you can gain, too large a % of players know basic odds/strategy these days to get much of a "book smarts edge" imho.Comment -

#8IMHO – For tournaments there is no contest. Dan Harrington’s
Hold 'em Expert Strategy for No Limit Tournaments, Vol. 1
Hold 'em Expert Strategy for No Limit Tournaments, Vol. 2
Hold 'em Expert Strategy for No Limit Tournaments, Vol. 3
This series goes into more depth and discusses techniques that other books don’t touch on. For instance, I don’t know of any other book that discusses M theory. I would say a must read if you want to advance your tournament game.
He has a cash game series that is out but I have not read them.
For Poker in general – Sklanksky’s Theory of Poker.Comment -
