Hey gang..as the title says, what do you think?
Saw a lot of crazy bad beats and setups there lately, and it made me think "is this shit really all random?!?".

Fair lol havent found a online poker site close to that. But I used to play alot of pokerstars. They are very shady to me. They always deal action flops. Example some1 will have suited connectors(example Hearts) some1 will have like QK and some1 will have pocket KK. Flop will his 47Q with 2 hearts. As always everyone thinks they are in the lead and bets begin to go crazy. I swear they do this stuff to speed games and tournys up. After all time is money to them. I like when i do this and this has happened more than 1nce some1 raises so I reraise then we are all in I have AA they have AK flop comes 10 J Q. Im like can we say SHAFTED. Also I notice they always favor big chip stacks I guess another way to speed tournys up by taking out the smaller. Ive seen it so many times something like a 1010 vs a big chip stack they can call with a 47 offsuit u know 2 pair is coming or runner runner for str of flush. I give up on online poker. Then there is the thought how do we know it isnt the websites people the ones winning? More profit so when there is money u cant rule out option. I just stick to sports betting cause if I pick the wrong team its my fault when I lose and dont leave it up to luck or some1 else

well.. but if u *always* get "action" flops then u get used to it and take advantage from it? i think it's just that people is not so scared to be catched on a draw just like in the live thing, so they pay... don't blaim the game.. that way u will never improve!

i dont blame the game i blame the game when being played on the internet. I believe I've heard from a very smart computer science guy on tv that used to work for the Las vegas gambling commission that a computer can not produce a "random" set of numbers. There is always a method of some sorts. That same guy figured out that method for the computers that were selecting Keno numbers at a casino and won bunches of money before getting caught. So my advice is play live and not online. Me personally do extremely live, and horribly online. It may have to do with my attention levels, or other factors, but it's my incline that online it is not exactly "fair" and/or "random"

couldnt agree more with dbldown, ive seen way too many horrific beats and set up hands in a 4 hour session that you would see in a lifetime at a casino.

well dbldown as u stated before.. it's right.. random numbers in computers are impossible at all...

i don't know that case u mention from the keno guy but in any case random number generators have improved to those days... i've read how the guys from paradise poker do their number generation.. they took seeds from user's mouse events + keyboard events + their own seed... which look pretty random to me.. as more factors u involve in the "random" number generation it becomes more "random". This means that cards are still unpredictable.... in fact i think that if you do some shuffle tracking or some of that kind of stuff cards would be more predictable at live tables than on the internet.

in any case.. any poker table is different.. and internet is incredibly different too... lot's of different players, u can't see their faces.. they can't see yours.. so they act different...

skill or not? i don't think so.. they are just separate.. skilled on "live" doesn't mean skilled "online" and viceversa

hey aggieshawn first of all, dont ever call me an idiot for one. secondly i dont play online anymore for the reasons ive stated i only play live. secondly if you want to set up a game online ill beat you best of 5 random cards or not, so put your money where your mouth is. I dont take kindly to being called an idiot and therefore need to make u shut your mouth.

by the way - i apoligize for the idiot remark. i have not been right since the whole ****ennn yankee/neteller and now the neteller/cdn fiasco messing with my ability to make money online. but the whole random number thing is a pet peeve of mine. but honestly is not the worst random number generator really way more random then the best live casino hand shuffler?
