Is it true that Garrett has abstained from live poker since the moment the possible cheating happened? Or at least no streamed poker. I haven't seen him in any of the clips at all. Kinda crazy considering he was a staple of the Hustler game and appeared in others. Surely he has to get back into it some time soon, even if he has misgivings about it. Only other option is probably quit poker altogether

I read about that like a week ago. He has plenty of money and does not want to play in compromised games.

lol Brother Bill- you say there is proof in the video. Then you say it vibrated or glowed. Not sure how a video would show proof of a vibration 1st of all. The "or Glowed" if ya seen video you would know if it was one "or" the other. Let's make our device a ring to let you know to call him. Then on a televised game remove the item so nobody will catch you. That has a few holes in it buddy.

I have seen Robbi on these live poker streams lately and Garrett has been MIA since this whole ordeal...

I'd like to know what is going on as well.

I was reading in one of the poker journals Negreanu is lobbying hard for perma bans.
Personally I like Danny, met him twice, nice fella, but sometimes you have to take him with a grain of salt, but he does seem 100 percent sincere in protecting the integrity of cash games and tourneys.

From what I hear, Garrett has been MIA from streams because he doesn't trust them after the cheating scandal.

I liken live streams, as well as all internet based poker, to that ScamEagle that used to haunt SBR, Bobby Waves, in that there is always some sort of inappropriate angle-shooting or collusion taking place.....

He said he can't handle people not liking him so had avoided it. But now it sounds like he is banned from Bike and Hustler, or at least uninvited.

If you listen to the long interview it sounds like almost every poker player he has ever been friendly with over the years eventually turns sour on him.

He must have mentioned playing is "his business" over 50 times during the interview. That came across like his excuse for feeling able to act less ethical than otherwise to me.

He's a hard guy to empathize with.

He said he can't handle people not liking him so had avoided it. But now it sounds like he is banned from Bike and Hustler, or at least uninvited.

If you listen to the long interview it sounds like almost every poker player he has ever been friendly with over the years eventually turns sour on him.

He must have mentioned playing is "his business" over 50 times during the interview. That came across like his excuse for feeling able to act less ethical than otherwise to me.

He's a hard guy to empathize with.

I saw it on Youtube but am not a Doug Polk fan and do not watch any of his videos.

Having everyone like you is overrated. Care about what your family and close inner circle friends think but the older I get the less I care about what anyone else thinks.

When this broad was reluctant to show her hand, the hands I think Garrett is putting her on:

*RARELY, Garrett thinks she'll have Q8/J8/J7.
...You're not supposed to have those hands in your range. But occasionally they might show up.

On these flops which come out Paired Boards with middling straight-draws, it can be a matter of Top-end of the draw vs Bottom-end of the draw. The hands Garrett expects to see:
QJ
KQ/KJ
...and sometimes Ace-high, especially if she's holding the Ace (clubs).

Calling across streets with J4? No-way, that's a bullshit hand.

Of course, a lot of what people are saying on here is true:
1) Polk can be annoying.
...Side note, props to Doug for losing all the weight.
...I actually think he WON the Fat-loss bet but is mis-reading the terms. I think the terms were quoted as losing half of his body fat. He started at 60.8 lbs body-fat, finished at 29, so I think he won. For some reason, he was using Fat % as the metric.

2) I don't know how anyone can't think that Garrett is:
a) a great poker player, and
b) a man of integrity.

3) They talk about Matt Berkey around 1:16.
