You never played before? I recommend Colin Moshman's book for SNG strat, I am not a cash game player so can't help you there. And Harrington on Holdem is still the gold standard for holdem tourneys. The fulltilt pro book is good and well rounded, so is Doyle's super system. If you are here to play in SBR freerolls HAVE FUN!
