#38These places rely on the rakes and they want people to play to keep raking the money in so it has to be fair. The only thing they could do is disperse big hands equally over the course of time to keep players in the game and keep collecting rakes.Comment -

#42I wouldn't be surprised if staff were playing. People call or go all in with nothing and win. I'd rather not play on that site.Comment -

#43Don't know if it's rigged, but it's definitely a scam. They find every manner of bullshit reasons to confiscate winnings.Comment -

#45Online poker is rigged only for those that lose at it. This is what I don't understand though. If someone has any doubt in their mind that something is rigged, why do they continue to play there and then complain about it?Comment -

Even though I am up, I should be up a lot more.
I have had a sequence of bad beats happen to me that would equal me getting hit by lightning more than once in my life.
And to answer your question, "If someone has any doubt in their mind that something is rigged, why do they continue to play there and then complain about it?".....I think you know the answer. The answer is that online poker is addictive to some people.
I have all but quit online. Every year I may throw in 100 bucks or so just for "fun" and try to win a lot with a little.Comment -

#47I've stopped playing online because I really got bored with it. I wouldn't play anywhere but FT or PS though.Comment -

#48I play on a few different sites. I wont go so far as to say it is rigged but there are some trends and situations that feel shady. River Flushes seem to hit at an above average pace on Fool Tilt and Ultimate Beat. Pokerstars should change its name to either JokerStars or RiverStars. I have come to expect and except bad beats and bad play online. One must adapt their game to the site and situation they find themselves in. Good Luck on the tables. Paddy Whacked. Come get some.Comment -

#50i doubt that it's rigged, they have pretty good controls over cheating. Maybe if it was an inside job but they have independent regulators.Comment -

#51I saw many saying the house makes enough on the rake to risk any rigging, but what about SNG's? They already have their cut, so they would want the tourney to end ASAP to get more people playing more tourneys, right? I built up $200 to over $3000 in a couple weeks, but lost it back over the next couple following the same strategies. What worked to consistently cash for weeks ended up being one spot short of cashing WAY too often for a simple bad beat, IMHO. We're talking AA vs QQ and having the flop come AXX, then Q and Q; or AA vs unsuited QJ and having a flop come AK10 then X and X. Those types only seemed to come up when it for a cashing position, so I haven't played at FT since.Comment -

#52here an example :
im holding pocket 33 .....opponent is holding 47 (offsuite)
i make a early raise pre flop and he calls me with that shit
flop comes A - 3 - 6
i check and he bets ....thats the mistake
nobody makes a bet right there hoping to catch a ****ing 5 (no way)
i raise him and he calls me
next card is a Q
i check and again he bets .....i raise and he calls
flop comes a 5
thats what im talking about ....forget the bad beats ...im talking about questionable betting patternsComment -
