Vayo buried by the California state income tax. Guess he's never heard of incorporating in Nevada like every other poker player with a brain.

The US guys at least can and WILL offset some of their winnings with losses over the year in tournaments and live action.
THey do have to have some pretty good documentation.

I won over $220,000 on year in poker and I was able to offset some of those winnings. But i had a ton of paperwork and I did get audited that year of course, but the auditor didnt really want to go through all of the deductions. He saw that I wasnt asking for over 50% deduction and said fine when he saw that I had receipts

PO. As a pro player, what rush do you get from playing for bet points? Just curious.

Absolutely none. Just something to do 2-3 nights a week. If you notice I usually go all in real fast as I dont want to be hanging around for a long time just to make the money. Generally, I either come in 1st or 2nd or I dont make the money. I cant remember but I think that my average cash this series is around 375 or so. You dont get that by playing like boobywaves that is for sure.

And I dont play poker every day of the week. My local casino only has good games about 3-4 days a week. About 5 years ago it was hopping everyday, but most of the donkeys have gone broke

Since you don't play like Waves & play like POS, it explains why you're never on this elite leaderboard I'm always on:

Wau insane taxes. So playing MTTs for Americans is really -EV for 99% population if you have to pay around 50% taxes when you win lol and still so many play them. Seriously at states that poker is legal again to play do you have to play 50%taxes on your winnings there? I mean that is easy to track all they need is deposit info and cashout info. Just curious?
