.....I guess charities will have to make it without me, don't think they had a problem before, doubt they will have a problem after... Plus, dominos 5 dollar pick up special is easier to deal with then spending 2 hours winning a tourney, and 4 hours rolling over..

When the average stack at FT is under 10BB only so much skill can pay those bills player, whoever the hell you are.

How about an update on that cheater/stiff/possible multiaccounting?/all around low life from Texas that a lot of us here don't appreciate seeing at the poker tables and forum in general? He gets a free pass to scam SBR because of ignorance? Not that I'd argue hes not an ignorant dead beat, but in that case he had to know he was ripping off SBR's rollover program.

Unless there's a 10k prize for every contest, don't see why SBR would keep a format the majority don't like. Easy to see attendance & motivation is way down in general.

The change of format will at least keep your lucky ass competitive, unlike last year when I smoked you by 5k+.

Fact is, I have more final tables than you. So it's just a matter of time.

LOL... thankyou. I did say I could help out with it when I first started but they wanted me to concentrate on the S&I forum and dealing with complaints ASAP.

I have to say in hindsight I need to thank SBR from the bottom of my heart for saving me from the thankless Poker Mod job!!

DS reads the poker threads too. He'd be better than me as he knows more about poker. But think he is too smart!

1. Poker mod @ SBR basically consists of simple simon tabulations of leaderboards, occasional announcements and occasional public forum chiming in (some miscellaneous not-all-that-complicated other stuff). Oh yeah, and ignoring posters.
IOW, it's an impotent position.

No, what SBR actually needs is a true poker *manager*; someone w/ the power to implement real ideas to grow/improve poker here (only answering to 1 or 2 SBR bigwigs... period). Some changes are easy & obvious, and would increase poker activity immediately. The poker manager would actually have to know poker extremely well.

2. Install a true poker manager here that knew what they were doing... well, that job would be so far from thankless it'd make your head spin.

The hopeless romantic in me (don't laugh, it's in there!) thought maybe, just *maybe*... SBR would chime in here and say something along the lines of "oh, easy & obvious?... will increase poker activity, ring games too?... wow, nice... sounds great, start us off w/one" and then I'd rough out an outline of a "REWARDS PROGRAM" for playing SBR poker.

Remember, a Rewards Program, properly implemented (site crunching *exact* numbers to plan off of) would benefit the site (SBR) more than the players.

Maybe that's why other sites have them? Hmmmm... (just one idea, of course... many more to consider)

But hey, the gal I was gonna marry split literally a few months before the wedding (true story) so, you know, fukk hopeless romanticism and the fukkin horse it rode in on!!!
