This hand always gets me in trouble....I'll raise with it in late position but thats about it. Never turns out well

Too many variables here sweeper but it's a tricky hand to play at times based on opponent(s)/tourney/cash etc. I feel better raising with it rather than calling a raise or limping but can get away from it if I catch resistance....ie 3 bet etc. It can get people in lots of trouble that get attached to it. Just my thoughts gl

totally situational.... short stacked or late position, sure..... no action in front of it in mid pos, sure..... any significant action in front of it (in any real trny) you are asking for trouble, knowing: your at best in a race with a pair jj-22, and aa kk qq hammering you, and ak crushing you as well.....

on sbr, I have seen aq beat ak more times than the total number of ebola victims in Africa since 1976...... real poker, ie, live poker, aq is very problematic in trnies.... ask doyle Brunson about it.......

on sbr, it only loses to a2 - aj.......

ive had aa and kk cracked by aq via broadway straights at least ten-fifteen times on sbr.... in 8 years of live poker, I've never had aa cracked by aq........

I knew I could recall a couple of "contra" aq hands that did buck the "aq is trouble" trend....

this one is probably the most famous:

In general yes, but just like everything else in poker it's dependent. If Eberetta limps utg on the bubble it's time to lay it down.

Obviously in this situation SBR has made mistake and dealt eberetta 3 aces.
