What Bankroll should I have? If I had $200 so 100 BB's is that alright? Or is that not enough in case of downswings?

#2That's alright to buy into 1 game but as far as a bankroll that can sustain the insane variance that is poker... I'd say bare minimum 20 buy-ins and thats really low. Also there is a GINORMOUS difference between online and live cash games. $1/$2 NL online is a pretty hard game to beat and plays atleast like a live $5/$10 NL game. If you were planning on playing just live cash games, i'd say $4000. For online i'd think 5-6K. Also, not sure if you do this but always always buy-in for the maximum when playing NL cash. when my buddy and I go play live $1/$2 NL he'll sit with $100 instead of the $200 max. He just like's to play tight early and hopefully double up and play for cheaper. Sounds reasonable but it drives me nuts. The last thing you want to do is flop set over set and not get paid the maximum possible.Comment
