Mike don't take things so literally. We use exaggerations to make points sometimes Mike. I could have written 2X the player but that doesn't exactly drive it home. Even Mikejamm knows that some of that was in jest...with the green eggs and ham bit and all.

And, Mike, people are competitive...they play poker to win. Weather they are playing a $100 SNG online or at an SBR ring game/tourney, sometimes they are gonna toss around but more often then not they are going to try and win. Sure, at sbr they don't care so much when they lose...it's really just for tossing around. But, at their core, they still want to win. And if a guy like mikejamm spends so much energy writing these threads then you can be sure he cares.

Point is mikejamm, instead of using the resources on the forum to improve his game, blames the software. So we give him shZt about it. It's not a hit on mike when I say Rudy is better. Mike is a fine player. Rudy is just on another level, has probably played many many more hands over time than Mike. Rudy is as self-depricating as they come, but don't get it twisted...he's a hell of a poker player.

Hell, I'm no great poker player myself so I'm sure mikejamm doesn't care what I think anyway. I'm just a guy tossing sbr pts around.

i agree with most everything there, the thing that struck a nerve was saying how much "better" one player is than another, plenty of times sbr posters have said stuff like "milwaukee mike you stink at poker" or "i am just better than you".

well, a lot of people don't know but i used to beta-test bodog's software and i've played more online and live poker than almost anyone over the last 20 years. does that make me better than someone else? who knows, unless we play a million games against each other, and that's never gonna happen.

I already gave the example of the hail mary pass, you don't say nice play if it is completed.

If a team drives 80 yards in 3 minutes and they're at the 10 yd line with 3 timeouts, only down by 1, and 1 minute left on the clock, you don't start shaking hands saying good game, nice win.

It's funny people read my posts with a certain tone, maybe it is my fault. Those are my feelings on etiquette. You might have a different view and that is fine, but atleast have a logical reason.
