Anyone who has compared or is comparing this system to Katrina is off their rocker.

This is nothing but a tropical storm. It's a rain maker for sure, but it's nothing really serious.
The storm will take a unusual path, pretty much north up the middle of the country.

This storm is nothing but a big rooster tease.

                    Crazy Coincidence

Hurrican Isaac is set to touch ground in New Orleans on the same date that Katrina touched down in 2005. These people can't get a break with these storms as it is reported to be a category 1 by landfall and strengthening. Pray for the people of the gulf coast my Sbr friends!!

Well after last time I hope they actually listen to the evacuation notice. Last time people blew it off and didn't think anything would happen. This isn't the same power as Katrina though.

Yea, I'll be praying for them alright.

Hopefully Isaac hits them nice and hard. Need to see some better things on the news up here rather than all the shootings. I love the Hurricane Isaac storm tracker channel. Nothing better than seeing God destroy something that he built.

Sadly this is true. this storm is a lot weaker than originally expected and my local channels are doing a good job conveying that. Unfortunately the weather channel is playing this thing like its so dramatic, like if theyre hoping for it to be a disaster

I am going to agree with jjgold on this one. They have to be nuts. I have been hearing that oil at the bottom of the gulf could be a big problem if it comes ashore.

The American Red Cross says anyone in emotional distress over the storm can call 1-800-985-5990 for crisis counseling.

Hopefully Isaac completely blows away the entire Republican National Convention, except for Chris Christie. No amount of force could move that vomitous mass. Roll out the ice cream truck.

I have been in two. First one Hugo in Charlotte 1989. Stayed up all night watching and waiting. Fell asleep watching CNN and slept like a log through the whole fkin thing

Second was Bertha in N. Myrtle beach...long story but was in jail & they let 1/2 the jail birds out early(obviously for liability or insurance reasons or something). They had high school shelter in Conway SC and I just fell in with the hooligans and we all started drinking wine( MD 20/20). That started a coke binge for me and I ended up stuck, stranded and strung out on the beach. The police had evacuated Myrtle and it was a ghost town and I got to a shelter in the knock of time. Had been up for days and fell out with a blanket like towel the Red Cross had passed out. Woke an hour later and trees were blowing str8 to the ground like rubber bands.

Don't tell ME about no moths fuckin hurricanes Small Timer!!!

Im on the border of NC/SC 15mins from Charlotte, NC We are getting rain remnants and supposed to be a lot all night but I don't see any issues unless we get a rouge tornado but again I doubt it.

best of luck there woj... We just now got done with that one here in s. Florida. 3000 dollars worth of damage to my vehicle because of a tree, one lost paypaya tree and 6 dead ducks in my neighberhood. We ended up getting 14 inches of rain and everything is still flooded. Kids finally going back to school tommorow. The winds only got 40-60 here in palm beach but the rain was horrendous. Nothing like alligators hanging out in flood waters in the streets..
