#37Originally posted by hanco21Patrick,
Its for real. I pasted the email which is above stating if I wanted a withdrawal I had to do there ID check. Well, OK I hit the link where it told me to go and it says enter social security number. After entering my social which I did not want to do questions came up like I was taking a test. They knew my sisters name, her age and I had to answer that correctly. Another question was to verify an old address of about 3-4 years ago which I never gave SIA. So yes to get this kind info they did some sort of credit check. I asked them what type of credit check it was and they would not tell me.
Also, it needs to be clearly stated upfront that you should expect this kind of hassles after you win...
The more I think about this the more pissed I get... The sites don't give a shit about protecting the player from fraud only themselves... This is exactly the type of site you would get a **** you from if your account and money had been stolen and fraudulently gambled away... This BS needs to end and, if this is a new policy, I think they're definitely due a downgrade....Comment -

#38Originally posted by isetcapAs mentioned earlier, this is exactly the same process Neteller follows to verify their accounts. Many people chirp about how wonderful Neteller is, but when you dig a little deeper you realize you are being deceived.

#41though I doubt it will do any good here is my email it SIA...
<< Hi, I intially signed up for account planning on making a deposit at your sportsbook... Upon researching your site online I found out that you currently require Social Security # before making a withdraw. Since this wasn't required to signup for account, and isn't stated in the Terms of Service agreement, I must conclude that you due this to slow down payouts and limit withdraws. Further, it's obvious that this isn't done to protecting the player from fraud (because this would be better acomplished by verifying the information up front.) Sadly, since most players aren't as diligent about reseraching gambling sites as I was this probably won't effect your bottom line much... But since providing a complete picture of your services and operations to players upfront is less a priority to you then your bottom line I doubt it will keep you wake at night...
Therefore, I will never be making a deposit at your site until this policy is changed. Please delete my account (xxxxxxxxxx) and discontinue sending me promotional emailings. Further delete my email and mailing address from all your distrubution lists.
Thank you,
xxxxx xxxxxxx >>Comment -

#45well i was waiting for the SSN requirement yesterday when i requested a 2500 withdrawal thru neteller and wasnt exactly sure what i was going to do however the withdrawal was like clockwork as is my usual experience with sia. as a side note they seem to be tightening up on their offerings abit and im not putting in half the games i did in the past however i still have nothing but positive things to say about them.Comment -

#49Originally posted by pags11I agree with others here in that if you deposit via neteller, no social security numbers or anything like that should be necessary...I've found that many books make you jump through these hoops so that you keep the money in there and hopefully eventually lose it...with SIA, I'm not saying this is the case (although I have read several slow pay complaints about them)...I'm just saying many other books will use this as a smoke screen (much like the "clear" photo ID deal)...
In talks with SIA currently to see if I can persuade them into dropping this requirement for at the very least, Neteller clients.
Thus far no progress, but will keep the fight up you can rest assured.
