While she may not purposely being cruel, she knows your feelings for her and she's allowing you to stay at her apartment (and give you hope, if I'm not mistaken). It seems like she's overlooking your feelings on the matter and really just toying with you, in a way.

It seems to me like she jumped into this relationship with the other guy very quickly. She's probably just using this as a way to get over you, but it's doing a lot of damage in the process.
