Starting pitching outstanding, but ,8 hits in 16 innings for the offense is puss poor. I know I gotta get used to more of the same, but damn it is frustrating to have the pitching but not enough offense.

Wins are wins, but it's painfully obvious the offense will again be the thing that holds this team back. If the Bucs are going to be anything more than Wildcard fodder, they have to address that situation via trade or free agency. Still wouldn't mind having Drew at SS, but understand they won't give up a draft pick for him - so they have to wait until after the June draft which is when he might get signed any how. Otherwise, have to hope someone like Polanco can inject some life into the offense.

Cumpton might wind up a bigger part of the puzzle with Tailon down. Reading quite a bit about the availability of Ike Davis from the Mets. Duda has been put into the starter's role at 1B. Wonder if the Bucs could find the right package to tantalize the Mets. Still think they need another bat for sure.

Pitching staff is in shambles. Liriano could be going to the DL with an oblique to join Cole. So I guess Cumpton and Locke have to be depended on ... yikes. Could really use some help from the offense.

Jeff Locke, Savior 2.0? Two great starts since he came back. They need it. With as :meh: as this team has been so far, with the two wildcard system they are right in the mix. If the pitching can get healthy and this lineup can shape up to be productive, they should be in contention.

Really could use an extra arm in the rotation at this point.
