If that was the case then why when Kenpom first started doing his thing did his stats not reflect the lines(but modeled the real results much better), and then after a couple of seasons all of a sudden the lines started to match Kenpom almost exactly in 95% of cases.
Did the books just suddenly discover tempo-free statistics a couple years after Kenpom, or did their own statisticians and modelers just start basing their models on the research Kenpom had done.Comment
