#108You obviously know more than a little bit about the "glory days of slots" and guessing you must know me personally.............................m ust say though, you are entirely wrong with the comment that they're are not beatable slots any longer, there are plenty, but overall certainly not nearly as lucrative as pre-1998.........................things are well on many ends here in the gaming world, no complaints currently.
They do a pretty good job with it now.Comment -

#109I live in Vegas.................there are plays, some that have been very lucrative............................... .many of the "banking and vision" games of years past were some that I was the first on and/or figured out, for example, the Fort Knox games were literally put in at Ballys for the first time in the country the day I was there and took only a few minutes to know that it would be a +EV machine..........................in the mid 90's there were only a small group that knew how to play all or most all the games and where they were, we all knew one another.Comment -

Anyway i guess watching machines from background and waiting for big jackpots and people to leave machine works for you

#115It don't work...People give you dirty looks like they wanna kill you for "hawking" them when they are playing and losing at slots. I once was watching a guy play in the high limits for like 2 minutes and security told me to move along. This guy told security that he don't want anyone watching him play. I felt like a broke bum.Comment -

I could imagine a case being made that progressives eventually turn the short-term expectation value to the player's favor... but anyone trying to build a strategy out of this would be subjected to the long-term expectation value of the machine, which is always negative.Comment -

Mike I agree, someone told me a few times Fishhead had issues with people playing slots with him HAWKING the player, boyfriend got mad and supposedly slugged him although cannot verify.
Scratch offs?? I think Fishhead said if you buy a BLOCK meaning whole entire unopened packaged it is possible to break even in hopes of a big one but too much work
Fishhead is a good guy but reads too many novels on "How To" beat gaming thingsComment -

#120If you see over a $10,000 jackpot and the person playing lets say a qtr machine has play time over 3 hrs and the they leave the machine its A PLAY
Many Vegas Pros use this hawking method but its long and tedious and grueling and still when you get the machine it does not guarantee the big hitComment -

#123I bought a system that uses FH's technique. The wait time after the person leaves is 20 mins.
The wife and I have been using another system I bought just by looking at the patterns left by other players
on empty machines. The wife is kicking better butt than I. Last 3 days of slot play she has won about $800.
I won one day and had minimal losses the others.
I've gone and played for hours on $20. We don't take more than $100 each.
There's some walking to do, but it doesn't take long to find machines. I only play 5 spins and on to the next.
Had quite a few hit on the 1st spin.Comment -

#125I do not know how Fishhead, Voodoo and others have the patience for The Hawking system
It has to be a strain on your back..tell you want I would not want a guy Hawking me while I play a machine as it would feel uncomfortable.
I would call security and have him removedComment -

#127In 20-40 minutes from now, the probability is 84.5% that I will profit anywhere from $20-$200 at Silverton Casino, there will be no more than 10 individuals playing slots, and I will not be hawking any of them.................in addition, the casino will provide me with a $60 steak dinner this evening, no matter the outcome.Comment -

#129.........advantage players keep 90% of machines plays to themselves or between themselves.....................it is a small fraternity, many of us going back over 20 years................they would blow away the MIT BJ team if a book or movie were ever written, which I hope never happens.Comment -

#131Don't know if this is what you do Fish, but there's this one guy I see every now and then playing standing
up between two, either $1 or $5 machines. He never looks at his machines, just keeps pressing the buttons.
Didn't want to hawk him, so can't tell how much he put in or won.
Saw another guy playing the digital roulette wheel feed two spots with $100's like they were $1's with staff
at his side handing him handfuls of cash when he won and proceed to put it back in.Comment -

#133Fishhead how long do you stand behind the machine watching the player??
Is there a cut off?? Is there some sort of pay threshold?? What happens if you Hawk for 2 hrs and player wins like 100 but puts $1000 in the machine and then leaves?? When is the move in factor?? When do you move onto another machine and see if that machine is so called "DUE"
How in the hell have you made over $500,000 grand doing this???Comment -
