Should be a good one on Fox sports. Oregon only 3-7 ats at home. I'm taking the road team.

good luck, i won't touch it. i will leave my money for better games.
miami ruined my parlay not hitting free throws. i had miami -4 and lakers +3. lakers are kicking ass, should of took lakers s.u in the parlay, a stupid mistake by me. however, to me this was one of the more 'easier' bets of the nba season if things hold up. lakers getting humiliated at milwaukee, this team still has a lot of stars on it, and kobe isn't going to let them get schooled at minny..
as i type the minny scores 10 points in 2 mins to make it a 5 point game instead of 15.
good luck with it guys, if it is a toss up game, i always go with the home team in college ball.

And they still beat Oregon's ass on Oregon's home floor.

There's really no circumstance that I would bet a -1 to -2.5 home fave anymore in any sport. Long-term loser.

Better to take a shot with the underdog ML, I guess.

A few years ago I kept taking home teams that were -1. I kept thinking it was a coniflip game so the home team had to have the advantage. WRONG!
If they're +2, then you're good to go. -1 or -2 should be like a giant stop sign. NC State, Seton Hall, and this game stick out off of the top of my head just recently.
All losers within the past 24 hours that were -1 home favs.

i will still stick my original argument that betting on the home team is always the better option when everything is considered equal.
the past 24 hours statement, really has no baring on it.

Either really.
You may cash a single-possession home fave from time to time, but you can't convince me fading that number wouldn't produce a huge profit long-term in both football and basketball.

so first you say 1 to 2.5 pt favorite and now you say -0.5 to -3 at home. but you dont care whether the line opens or closes on theses numbers. if you want to teach us you need to figure out what you want to say first.
so which is it?

A) I said home the entire time.
B) When is a team ever -0.5?

i wasnt talking about the home part.
so is it pk -3 or is it 1-2.5
and you dont care whether it opens or closes?
so are fading these teams or are you just not touching the game?
or do you handicap the games?

Is a PK team favored?
-2.5, but -3 is getting into push territory.
I typically fade. Depends on the spot though. I still cap the game. Don't bet blindly.
The only time I'd consider playing a home team of, say, -1 is if they opened as a dog.

bottom line is you cap the game and if you like it you play it.
your previous statement means nothing because you admit that you still cap the game. and you also admit that sometimes you will bet a 1pt favorite

I did? Where? Only if they open as a dog, which is different than what I posted because that's a different set of guidelines entirely.

It's not my fault that you were an idiot and declared Oregon the best team in the Pac-12 before today's debacle. Now you're pissed off and trolling the boards because you need to vent. Good for you.

I bet on Oregon State today. I've said this about single-possession faves over and over again on this board.
If you don't like it, ignore it. This isn't your thread.

OK man. Just because Oregon was -1, that doesn't mean all things were equal. Oregon State was the better team here. I think you may have been fooled by seeing Oregon -1 and thought it was a good play.
A lot of people liked Oregon. They were at home, had the better record, etc. I even saw that they were the best team in the Pac-12. LMAO. So if people thought that, didn't they find it strange Oregon was only -1? It was a sucker bet.
As for my examples in the past 24 hours, there are tons more. These are just games that happened recently.
Seton Hall -1 LOSS
Oregon -1 LOSS
NC State -1 LOSS
Ga. Sstate - 1 LOSS (Just remembered that one)
All home teams. All teams people on this site liked. All losers.
I would be willing to bet that if you looked into other results you would find that teams that are -1 or -2 tend to lose straight up the majority of the time.

You must not actually have watched this game. Oregon has zero interior presence and relies too much on 3s. It was only a matter of time before Ore State's defensive pressure got to them.
