FSU +3.5 at home vs OU

I live in Tallahassee and have been following the Noles for twenty years. Oklahoma has a "little" edge in this game. I feel the spread should be around FloridaState +7 rather than +3.5. If your finding any decent odds on that tease(+13.5) I would jump on it. This will be a hard fought match that comes down to the end. Any poster who wants to bet me Oklahoma -13.5 step right up and ill give you 2 to 1!!!

No question this should be an exciting game. If Florida St can remain disciplined and if they have prepared for the tempo that caused them problems last year they can be in this game and could even win it.

I've played Oklahoma but I am banking (maybe too much) that FSU is still just a year away from being a real contender. Also might be putting too much emphasis that the Nole's will make more costly mistakes in the game.

game will be close for the first half... Noles might even be winning... then Oklahoma will pull away.. seen it time after time in these types of games

My friend is a volunteer for the team so when I told him our offense looked like shit against UL Monroe he said don't worry about it, that were saving everything we got for Oklahoma. He said our defense didn't even play the 3-4 that game which he said is nasty, not to mention we kept the offense simple. Before he told me this I wanted to bet Oklahoma but now I think It'll be a much closer game. I would take the under 55

Oklahoma is the #1 team coming in, i think they do their thing and win by 10. Pretty hard to see them losing this game so early in the season

Just avoid it and play elsewhere. OU is better than they showed. Stoops had no reason to punish Tulsa. he could have named the score.

Big Game Bob and Co. lay down about once a year so I wouldn't be surprised to see FSU walking away with the win here.

If this game is high scoring then FSU will not win. The way they will win is defense. So if you like FSU expect a game in the low 20's. 24-21 FSU

you are 100% correct. Same thing with the Ohio State/ Miami game ... Only way Ohio State wins is if it is a low scoring game.

you guys all know if somehow the Noles won this game they would be in the national championship game for sure right?? I mean after beating the #1 team in the nation they would have mad respect from the media and then if you look at the rest of their schedule they only play 1 ranked team the rest of the season and that is a non-conference game vs Florida

Wouldn't suprise me since they play in such a weak conference. When they come to Gainesville we'll make sure to knock them down.

I want soo badly to take the home team in this game but I just don't think I can do it. I don't see how Florida State can stop Oklahoma with the best QB to WR combo in the nation other than the one the one Ok. State has... only difference is the Sooners are loaded with talent on the offense. They say the Sooners run defense is their achilles heal though. Maybe if the Noles can run the ball effectively they can control time of possesion and win the game if they force some turnovers and get pressure on the QB.

I'm not betting this game but I would agree with this post.

*My key to this game is the FSU defense. Can they hold OK to say 21 points? Maybe 27? I'm not convinced they can. I think OK will wear them down and get into the 30's and that will probably provide a comfortable winning margin. But I don't know. Gonna have to sit on my hands and see if FSU's defense is really ready for prime time.

guys Oklahoma isnt far and away the top team in the country. This line should be a little closer to a pick, maybe FSU +1 or so? If I can get 3.5 or 4 I'll be playing Florida State. FSU has the athletes to play with Oklahoma. Oklahoma away from home is shaky (the whole conference is). Big time revenge game as well. Not sure what to do if this game doesn't hit 3.5 though

Why even bother on this game...I went to school at FSU and think we are still a year or so from being the team everyone thinks we are...Oklahoma is the better team, but it is NOT going to be easy to go to DOAK and play at night. I think this game means more for the noles but when its all said and done with, Florida State (in all athletics) finds a way to lose...

Am I the only one here that is confident that Florida State wins this game outright? Some guys are saying that Noles will lose because they can't stop Oklahoma offense, but fact is FSU defense is MUCH better than Oklahoma defense right now. I look for Noles to build a lead at home and turn Sooners into a one-dimensional passing offense. Landry Jones is great, but nobody can be successful passing on every play.

No way this is the best FSU team in years. That quarterback back they have, that dual-threat, sucks at passing, so he's actually only one dimensional. Oklahoma's defensive is every bit as good or better than FSU's defense, so look for a lot of mistakes from that FSU quarterback. Oklahoma got a veteran offensive on the field and know how to win big games. Can't say the same for this FSU team.

You are insane. Are you referring to the defense that allowed 400 yards to TULSA on opening week?

Now I get that the ACC blows, but it is still a lot better than Conference USA.

Keep laughing. That game was a blowout early on so there was no need for that Oklahoma team to keep up the defensive intensity. And by the way, Tulsa is one heck of an offensive team. Who has FSU played? Ya, that's what I thought. Oklahoma will win by 2 TDs at least. Oklahoma will be set up many of their TDs on FSU offensive turnovers.

OU not a good road team at all. If they are going to lose this year this game is it. I believe they are 6-7 on the road the last 2 years.
