kfc here has a special - 10 pieces of your choice chicken, bucket of cole slaw, mashed potatoes/gravy, mac&cheese, and a chocolate cake for $20.

even with a family of 4 that's 2 meals for all of us of some really good-tasting food for $20

i could eat their fried chicken every meal of every day and be a happy man

probably depends on which kfc you go to, one of them by me is always hot and fresh and throws in extra pieces.
the other one is more ghetto and they don't really care about quality or customer service.

i do like chick-fil-a, church's, and popeye's too. problem is the church's and popeye's in milwaukee are all in scuzzy areas and the only chick-fil-a near me closed (ugh)...

and yes i go all the time to places like fleming's, capital grille, ruth's chris, smith&wollensky, etc etc (thanks for leading us down the path to being broke mrs milwaukee) but i would almost always rather eat at kfc! no waiting 5 minutes for some pompous waiter to bring me another puny coke that's almost all ice...

When I eat at Popeye's or KFC what I do is pull the fried skin off (or at least 90% of it off) and eat the healthier meat portion.

Then I will usually (and this is disgusting I know, you have to do this when you're eating it at home and alone) chew the fried skin to enjoy the taste, then spit about 90% of THAT out as well.

It looks disgusting I know, but not as disgusting as your belly and arteries will look if you injest the fried skin.

Damn straight....our little toddler gets the good stuff not 'cheese in a box' or Juice containing 5% juice and 95% crap. It's unreal. It's a fact that the kids need the fats from whole milk, dairy, and the carbs from grains and veggies but there is a much easier way to do it than most are these days.

so many people here worried about heart disease/health, my heart is in a lot more danger from watching some of this football action lately. i think the last couple minutes of nd/mich (i had michigan money line) took at least a couple years off my life!

compared to 50 years ago when almost everyone smoked a pack or two of cigarettes/day, i wouldn't worry too much about the damage of fried/grilled chicken (usually i get a mix)
