Beaner, the move will not be IMMEDIATE, especially now with the flooding occurring in the Corbin household..............coupled with the fact that he has to square up a few loans around town, give a reasonable time of departure to his many employers, and also dealing with social issues surrounding his move with his family.
The move will NOT occur in 2011.......... sometime between 07/2012 and 07/2014.

This is just ABSURD thinking by so many......................the heat in Vegas is a complete NON-FACTOR.
Perhaps 10-12 days a year when temps reach 109+ it is unbearable...........just relax at home or in a sportsbook in these 10-12 days.
VEGAS has some of the best weather of anyplace in the country.

Agreed on all points.
Last week was the hottest of the year, first time over 110. It should start creeping down now.
As far as JJ. I'll believe it when it happens.

Not a problem Fishhead. I would love to see you and Bills fan once again. I would love to go between Christmas Day and New Years Day. If the business is good enough in the next two months then I will highly consider it without a doubt this year. You can get some good deals around Christmas Day on hotels and airfare to there. I checked it out last year and it was real affordable.

LMAO guys been there a couple weeks and he is an expert.
Some of us lived there for years, and know what is up.
It isnt horrible but for 4 months or so it isnt great. Air quality sucks, need to run AC 24/7, and basically need to stay inside and when you go out go straight from car inside. Once you start seeing 200-300 bux a month electricity bills try saying heat is a non factor.
Its also gets pretty cold in the winter time so basically it is a bunch of extremes. You have a few weeks where it is 'nice'. Thats about it, most of the time it is too hot or too cold. Coming from some parts of the country that might not be too bad, but if you live in Southern California it is a major downgrade. Hard to go from a place with about 320 days of sunshine and 55-60% humidity and temps 70-80 and go there. Obviously moving from NJ wouldnt be such a shock. But he cried about the heat being there for a week, so I imagine it will get to him for awhile.

I lived in the Mojave Desert for 10 years so I know how hot it gets ALL SUMMER LONG. And its freezing in the winter.
So it is 100% not ABSURD thinking when I say it is too hot to live in Vegas.
It's one of my favorite places to visit though because when visiting you hardly have to go outside into the heat.

Nitwit, I've lived in VEGAS for nearly 20 years total.............1984-2002 and the past two months................not to mention 50+ visits prior to 1984 and between 2002-2010

You can fry eggs on the sidewalk in the summer and you might get snow in the winter. That's neat.

Move to Mexico Like I did
It's like 2005 all over again
NO BS about moving money
NO Hassles about this book leaving or that book not taking Americans
and the coast of living is way lower than Vegas
Plus you can't beat the roving hit squads-Honestly it no worse than North Philadelphia,West Baltimore or Alphabet City(circa 1985 before Giuliani turned Lower Manhattan into Disney/Strip mall)
I wouldn't walk around 5th and Indiana at night.I'm not going to down here

Tell me why would anyone spend 24/7 gambling their life away?
Instead of spending time with your family, kids, seeing places, experiencing new things...you are stuck in a casino 24/7 gambling?
If you want to make money, you can do it anywhere...it doesn't have to be degenerate loserville called vegas.

What makes you think you spent 24/7 gambling if you live here. I spend lots of time with my kid.
