Anyone hungry for an awesome sammich?
In a saucepan you wanna halfway cook, on medium heat, a generous amount of pancetta in unsalted butter. Remove pancetta and turn off heat, making sure not to let the butter burn.

Beat 3 eggs with milk, salt and pepper in a bowl. Whisk really well and dunk two thick cuts of your favourite bread in, soaking up the mixture.

Gently fry the bread in the same saucepan as the pancetta butter residue until the bread is golden brown. Remove the bread and place on a plate.

Have oven preheated to 400 F. Place the two pieces of cooked bread on a cookie sheet. Now add a few thick slices of beefsteak tomatoes. Cut some nice slices off a monzarella ball and place on top of the tomatoes. Hit the tomatoes with a bit of salt and pepper. Put the half cooked pancetta on top and cover with the other slice of cooked bread. Put the sandwich in the oven for a few minutes until the cheese is melted and the pancetta is fully cooked.

Remove the sandwhich and pour a nice amount of pesto (I make my own -- easy as pie) and a bit of chive oil over the top of the sandwich. Slice diagonally and serve with sweet potato wedges.

    Good Lord ALMIGHTY!

Buzzy, you should start making vid's of your recipes....Become SBR's own chef. Have tv's on around you while you cook showing nothing but sports and when things don't go your way in the game, start banging sh!t around and cussing up a storm, for example" Now!! Throw the fvcking cheese in the fvcking pan and put in the goddamn oven!!!" and then slam the oven door.

Hey Richkas, I just finished lunch. The above post was today's very delicious noon meal. I love cooking and find it therapeutic.

Tonight's supper will be simple but one of my faves. I'm throwing t-bones on the grill, with corn on the cob and asparagus. Whoe meal on the grill. Gonna down it with some iced cold Coors light. Simple. Easy. Effective.

Come on over, Richkas. Bring a dessert.

Buzzy should, he always comes up with a food reference at about lunch time to make me hungry. It would be great," Today I'm going to cook a dish you've never heard of, and use ingredients you can't get at the store with untensils that are so rare that even I don't know where I got them, and cook all this in a kitchen bigger than your entire effing apartment."

Saint lawrence market and kensington market in Toronto.

Global cheese in kensington market is THE BEST PHUCKING store in north america. Go check it out. Try a few samples. They'll cut em right off the blocks for you. If you can't get pancetta (you should be able to) then use maple bacon.
