I don't put much value into that because so many teams now go from worst to first...

I have heard it's free agency but there seems to be some major turn arounds every year and it's more then just a few...

How many straight years has the NFC South had a team to go from worst to first the next year...

The other thing is everyone in the division plays the same teams except two which is based on the previous year's record...

Look at the Browns schedule... I thought about taking them over but those first 7 games don't look easy based on last year results which isn't saying much these days...

Steelers are not going anywhere with that QB, Pitt is a team on the decline.

Of course New England's schedule is easy this year. Playing the Jets, Dolphins, and Bills twice will bring any strength of schedule down.

Here's the same chart with the numbers included.

The Pats' schedule isn't only the easiest, but it's not even in the same range as the next easiest team.

But, I think the Bills & Miami will be better this year. Whereas the NFC west & AFC west are the two easiest divisions in football that the Pats could have had on their schedule.

I would complain about New England's schedule but Im a San Diego fan, I dont have room to talk trash.

We get the Raiders, Broncos and Chiefs twice each.

Good lord, this again? As someone already pointed out: All but a couple teams were decided, what? Four years ago or something? It's not the Pats fault that they have a pretty easy division. Of course, if they make the Super Bowl next year and especially if they win...it will all be because they had the easiest schedule...nothing to do with their talent.

I don't put to much on the strength of schedule because teams go from crappy to good from one year to another, like Shams says. New England will still rip through the schedule like butter. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Jets, Dolphins, Bills, Raiders, Broncos, or Chiefs lose in big ways this year. That's 9 games out of 16.

                        How can that be accurate...?

The Pats, Bills, Jets, and Dolphins all play the exact same schedule with the exception of two teams... WTF..? Can two teams really make that big of a differance..?

You guys are so damn goooofy... These are the two teams that are differant from each team in the AFC East because they all play the AFC West and NFC West...

                        Bills: Cleveland and Jacksonville

                        Dolphins: Baltimore and Houston

                        Patriots: INDIANAPOLIS AND PITTSBURGH

                        Jets: Cincinnati and Tennessee

^ There is another difference. The Patriots don't have to play a 16-0 team twice like the other 3 teams.

Well then Dallas, Washington, and Phily. must have a mother f*cker of a schedule because they have to play ALSO TWICE the team THAT BEAT THE 16-0.... ooops my bad 18-0 Patriots in the most meaningful game of the 07/08 season.... the SUPER BOWL...

TO BOOOOT.... The NFC East was a better division last year then the AFC East sending THREEEEEE of their four teams to the playoffs...

Oh well, there's a way to make money from the mindless 'unbeaten season?' talk we'll have to suffer through.

Pats schedule is not the easiest, just that they play all the teams they beat last year, especially since every AFC division winner they play and they beat all 3 last year.

If the Pats schedule isn't the easiest in 2008, do you care to name the team that does have the easiest schedule?

Not only do the Pats play the weakest teams that the NFL has to offer, they play them in the best circumstances possible. Playing the Chiefs & Dolphins @ NE week 1 & 3, how much easier does it get? Both of these teams are completely rebuilding and don't even know who is starting at QB yet. Or how about Arizona going to NE in late December? Why not make that the home opener instead of having this warm weather team playing in the snow? Same with & Oakland in December. Make NE go there in week 2, when Oakland isn't in chaos yet.

The only exception is playing the Bills at Buffalo week 17. The Bills might be scratching for a wildcard berth and the weather might even help the Bills. Not to mention any motivation of ruining the Pats 16-0 if it comes to that again in 2008.

Not that I care. I hope NE does go 16-0 again, because that just increases the odds that they'll get jacked in the playoffs again. They won't have been tested and won't know how to handle adversity.

They claim the scheduling follows some sort of predetermined placements that variates every other year or whatever, but it sure does smell that's for sure.
