i wish that i knew where all of this was heading, and i wish that the players had better taste that to sell some of this stuff (which, btw, is was bothers Tressel the most - the notion that anyone would sell a Big Ten championship ring, he's such a purist). to the person who questions why the players aren't suspended immediately for the bowl, it's because there would've been an injunction filed regarding this very real legal issue as to how you can give someone something then tell them years later, "oh, by the way, it's not really yours, you can't sell it." and, of course, the NCAA wants them to play in the Sugar Bowl because their absence would hurt a vital NCAA product. this is hardly the last chapter on this issue, at least from a property rights perspective.
