OSU would never fire Tressel, and although i'm sure that he's disappointed with Pryor, Herron, et al., he's not stepping down over this.
as for those of you who hate Ohio State, thank you, sincerely. nothing warms my heart more than a bunch of ignorant OSU/Big Ten hate. He probably will not leave, even though he does run the dirtiest program in the country. Ohio State will be in bad shape next season when those 5 idiots declare for the NFL after the Sugar Bowl. The door will be wide open for other schools to compete for the Big 10 Championship.
As far as the rules go, there is absolutely NOTHING that anyone in here can do about them, so live with it people. I love all of the posters in here that bitch and moan about things they have absolutely NO control over. If you did one ounce of investigation, you would know why that rule is in place. Stop your bitching people. Get off your dead tails and learn something. The reason wy these athletes cannot sell stuff like that while going to school is so obvious that a blind man can see it.
As far as Big Ten haters are concerned, more power to them. The Big 10 is basically finished as far as contending for national honors is concerned. Ohio State leads the Big 10 in BCS Championship appearances with thre, but has not won since the big fix in 2002, when a crook and thief led them to victory in overtime. No other Big 10 team has even gone to a BCS Championship game. The SEC has had 4 participants, the Big 12 and Pac 10 two. The Big 10has not had a participant since Ohio State's last loss in 2007. The back of the bus with the ACC and Big East is where the Big 10 belongs when talking about BCS Bowl games in general and the Championship game specifically.Comment -

I dont feel sorry for these kids because they are being "exploited" by not being able to make money. The fact is that many of these kids have been given an opportunity to receive an education that a lot would never be able to A) afford or B) even qualify for under regular admission standards. They live in the nicest dorms, have access to the best facilities, eat the best food and have been placed on a pedestal by ESPN and other media outlets. Once these kids get out of college, go nuts and sell everything that you want. If they start paying for play in turn the basketball team will then be clamoring for cash, UCONN womens team would like some compensation for their 89 game winning streak, the South Carolina baseball team brought USC their first national championship in a major sport, do they deserve a little payback as well? Does Pryor need to make more money than the left guard? These kids would be placed in a bidding war and then it is basically professional football. While many of these schools do make money off of football it is in turn used to pay for all of the other non revenue producing sports and then you have many Universities that are struggling to fill half of their stadium who would never be able to pay their players. There are more questions than there are answers for compensating these players and Im sure Mr. Pryor wasnt in the poor house before OSU and he wont be because OSU held him back.Comment -
