#42That stadium at UGA is pretty tight, one of my best friends went there so I have been there for some games. Alltel stadium in Jacksonville, for FL vs UGA, not just in general at Alltel.
Most overrated goes to: Allen Fieldhouse.
They make it look crazy on tv showing the student section when in reality it is a big barn where all the old people sit down all game and there is a strip about 15 seats wide from the floor to the top where the students section is. I saw them lose to Tinsley and Iowa St on big monday and there was no energy in the building even though the game was great.Comment -

#44Not the best stadium but definately the best time at a game overall. I was the batboy at the 1984 All-Star game at Candlestick park. Full blown treatment before and during the game. Words can not do it justice.

#45Mo, I am a huge Gamecock fan. I am 26 and have been to almost every home game since my freshman yr. 3 yrs ago I was fortunate enough to get club seats. My uncle is a lifetime member and is willing the seats to me when he passes. He lets me buy 2 from him every yr. I have upper deck seats but sell them to a friend.
To my point, I went to knoxville last yr and had a blast.(except missing the fg and not falling on the last 2 fumbles) We came back from 28-0 at the half to take a lead 31-28 late in the 4th. Tenn hit a fg with a few seconds to go and we lost after missing a fg in OT. Im sure you remember well. Great game. Vey nerve racking for both teams tho!
That place IS LOUD!! We sat in the heart of Vol Land on the 50 and everybody was very generous and were very respectful around us. We had a few drunken idiots talking shit on the way in, but it was all in fun.
Also, the Swamp is great. There fans are great to us every time we go down there. I think it's because Spurrier is at USC and most of them really like him. But, we always seem to find good ppl where ever we go. We treat the opposing fans at Williams Brice the same way. Give me a shout if you wanna come to town this yr for the game. I will get ya some tix.
Williams Brice Stadium would be my choice simply because of my love for the university. But any SEC stadium where the Gamecocks are playing is my favorite place to be at that time!
Good thread MO! Sorry so long. I just LOVE the SEC!! I'm still happy yall beat Memphis!Comment -

#49Lambeau hands down. Been to many baseball parks and would say Fenway is way down on the list. Only thing Fenway has is the sausage vendors and fried dough on the street. Parking........what parking. Same with Wrigley. Nostalgia is great but only for one time to say u where there.
Michigan is a great venue also for foots.Comment -

#50While I would definitely put Neyland (I will say that it has the best tailgating right along the river! MO, I was there this year and you broke our hearts!) and Ben Hill Griffin Stadium at the top (been to Sanford stadium many times, had a great time this year because the Gamecocks won, but the atmosphere and stadium itself do not impress me). However, Williams-Brice Stadium is by far my favorite. If you have never witnessed the famous "2001 Entrance" live in Williams-Brice, you haven't lived!
More Information from Wiki:
Williams-Brice Stadium is the home football stadium for the South Carolina Gamecocks, the college football team representing the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina. It is located on the corner of George Rogers Boulevard and Bluff Road adjacent to the South Carolina State Fairgrounds and State Farmers Market.
Carolina football teams consistently attract standing-room-only crowds to Williams-Brice Stadium. The atmosphere on game days has been voted "the best" by secsports.com. (See 9/15/05 at [2].) Many great athletes have played for the Gamecocks and have become stars in the National Football League. The most famous is Heisman Trophy winner George Rogers. After the retirement of Lou Holtz in 2004, the University hired Steve Spurrier to lead the Gamecock football program.
In addition to serving as the home of the Gamecocks, the stadium has been the site of many concerts, state high school football championships, and various other events. It hosted the annual Palmetto Capital City Classic between Benedict College and Johnson C. Smith University until the last game in 2005.
Williams-Brice Stadium is currently the 18th largest college football stadium in the NCAA and 7th largest stadium among the 12-member Southeastern Conference. [1] Plans for future expansion include adding an upper deck in the north end zone, which would increase capacity to approximately 88,000 seats and would require the video scoreboard to be relocated and the building behind the north end zone containing the football offices to be demolished. Construction could begin following the 2008 season and could be completed in time for the first game of 2010.
It has been nicknamed "The Cockpit" by Gamecock fans and local media, although the nickname is unofficial. Steve Spurrier has suggested "The Barnyard" due to the stadium's proximity to the State Farmers Market.

#51Montreal Forum
I'm not a big fan of the French excpt forSOME food, the women and hockey but I have always been a big Habs fan since I was a kid.A couple guys from where I lived played for them before I was even a thought in my dad's head.hehe!
The Montreal Forum was unbelievable to see a game there. You could feel the ghosts from teams of yesteryear there.Lots of history including players funerals taking place there and even the Rocket Richard riot.
It's a shame they had to tear it down because it was a beautiful building and they spent a ton of money refurbishing it not long before they demolished it.
Molson beer owned the team and arena so at least it was a private decision to build a new arena instead of what the Yankees are doing by getting government money to destroy their shrine to build a new one.The house that Ruth built will be a parking lot thanks to New York and national tax payers giving Steinbrenner welfare to have a new stadium for his hobbie of owning a team.Comment
