#40Willie and LK,
thanks for having my back. . .
Swede,
Yeah I was talking about the Louisville Cardinals. Im not really big on any pro teams, because we just Didn't have em in Kentucky. Cincy was only 45 min away so there were some bengals fans, some titans fans, and some colts fans, but its a college town! Since moving to the Jersey Shore I have became a Phillies and Flyers fan. That's the only pro sports I have a favorite team in. But Im such a die hard Louisville fan, that no other team can compare. If the phillies lose I can shrug it off, but not with the cardinals. I go and watch the games with my DAD and we are in different rooms side by side both screaming at the game like they can here us, and noone can stand to be in the house for the game.
LK,
I hate the name " YUM CENTER" I wish they would change it, and im really going to miss Freedom Hall. What are they going to do with the HALL by the way (just going to used for scattered events?) I wish they would change their new arena's name.Comment -

#44When it's the Steelers playing, I can't even be bother when it's about the game. I generally mute the announcers because they just bug the crap outta me and I already know what's going on, I don't know their "help."Comment -

#45Nancy, the wife and friends get totally frustrated when I have a game on the boob tube and the sound muted. It's like they can't concentrate with their eyes if their ears aren't being filled with worthless noise from the broadcast booth. So I turn the sound on and all my friends can do is complain about what an idiot McCarver or Musberger are
I love to just watch a game, almost as much as I love to simply listen to a good radio play-by-play voice call a baseball game.Comment -

Ohhhhhh! You NEVER call it "just a game"!!! What's the matter with that girl? That's grounds for getting dumped! Next time she's on her period, tell her "calm down, it's just a little blood" and see how she likes it. On second thought....don't do that...she may kill you, and you're far too young and pretty to die.
My boyfriend complimented me on my ability to know which plays I'm allowed to talk to him during and when to keep very VERY quiet....and I mean "don't even think about russling that bag of chips" quiet.Comment -

#48I perfer to watch the game alone. . . However I do go out to my local bar and make a fool of my self from time to time. It's tough being the only fan of a college team 750 miles away from the rest of the fans. I can recall several midweek appearences, freaking out at the bar , when most people don't even know what teams are on. Like who is Lou-is-ville, but im a regular there for that few years now, so they know the deal when I show up decked in my fan gear. . . Im cool with the owner and sometimes I get him to turn the music off and listen to the game (when its slow).Comment -

property, but NO, they want it on the river, so people traveling on I-64 along the riverfront, or on I-65 going across the river can see it, plus its by the convention centerand Slugger fieldand the Museums and the Skate park and all the other stuff they have going on on the river. Freedom Hallis always going to be their(UofL mens&women B-Ball) home to me, but the Hall will be used as it always is, for concerts, other sports events, like Arena2 Football the Louisville Fire, trade shows, etc. It just like Broadbent Arena might not have the "Icehawks"or the "Riverfrogs", but its still used for stuff like Circuses or rodeos or Ice shows, and what not. The old Gardensstill has high school events and concerts and other stuff even though we don't have an ABA or CBA B-Ball team anymore. I still think the new arena should of been put on the fairgrounds property, not just to save money but its central location, a lot of people say its sucks getting out of the fairgrounds, i don't get that, its one giant loop going around the property, with a zillion exits branching off to interstates and major roads. the fairgrounds has it all, Kentucky Kingdom, Freedom Hall, old Cardinal Stadiumwhere the Redbirdsplayed before the became the Bats and moved downtown and where UofL's football team played before moving to Papa Johns stadium, maybe Louisvillebusiness men or officials can try and get another minor pro team in the Hall, like the short livedPanthers. well sometimes change is good they say, but i'll miss seeing games at the Hall, there isn't a bad seat in that place IMO.Comment -

#55I'm a pretty loyal guy to the Deadfins. They sure have been pissing me off the last 7 years or so. Above I noticed that some people can not be spoken to when then beloved team is playing. I used to be this way, but now I've calmed down and have learned to block out all the noise coming from the chatter box and still be able to half way pay attention to what somebody is saying to me without actually paying attention to what they are saying.Comment -

Some of those championships are retroactive. They went back in time and awarded them a championship? That's funny.Comment -
