I'm trying to find ways that sports betting can be an investment tool for me. I only really want to make around 5-10% per sport (baseball, football, hockey, and basketball) I am a decent capper I believe, but I dont know if I can get the returns I want year in and year out. I've only been sports betting for a year now. I have a couple baseball systems that could work to get a quick few percent and out. But I dont know any for the other sports that could work. I like chase systems for getting quick money and quitting. I know the dangers of a chase, but I think if there is some angle that has rarely lost a chase, I can get in and chase somewhere between .5% and 1% of my bankroll and quit after I reach 8-10%. If there is a long losing streak during the course of the season, hopefully I've already gotten my money and quit. Any thoughts or ideas on this idea of getting a few % and quit? Maybe someone has a nice system that some profit can be taken home from?

I think a lot of people fall into the category of action junkies. Maybe they only like the action of gambling. I love gambling, but winning is what the fun part is. If I have a good system that only allows me to make 4 or 5 bets per season with a very high % chance of winning then I'm ok with that. I dont need a bunch of -EV plays every day to satisfy a fix of any kind.

If you pull that one off, actually quitting ahead of a bookie in a season not even finished, you don't need advice, you can sell your advise.

Almost nobody can stay ahead of these rock solid books.

Also, you do not need 50 K to win or lose. You can win with 500 if you are smart enough. And how many are smart enough in today's stock-market of buddy books,[tight lines and almost the same] very, very few, and even they might blow their hard earned profits before the season is finished with "you?"

This isn't 1980 anymore , where Fish himself will tell you , I bet, it was like taking a milk bottle away from a baby in those 80's, compared today's sports market!

This is a very dangerous game pal, like swimming with a great white and thinking he won't bite!
