#107it is rigged. and to add to the excitement/drama of the rigging, they had the Redskins botch a snap on a FG att on their first possession of the 3rd quarter.
maybe Vince McMahon starting writing scripts for the NFL.
don't get me wrong, refs are fairly incompetent, but don't confuse old age and trying to ref a game that is too fast for them with a fix.Comment -

granted 630 yards isn't much, but we only saw 13 points produced from those yards, for a combined YPPT of 48.5.
or is that number normal?Comment -

#110Take a look behind the scenes to see what NFL Football Operations is doing to ensure the integrity, improve upon the safety and enhance the fan experience of the game.
Pass blocking: Hand(s) thrust forward that slip outside the body of the defender will be legal if blocker immediately worked to bring them back inside. Hand(s) or arm(s) that encircle a defender—i.e., hook an opponent—are to be considered illegal and officials are to call a foul for holding.
Rigged? Really? That was the clearest case of hooking an opponent I've ever seen. Now the Detroit game, that was a bad call.

#112you realize of course that if you take the Cowboys YPPT avg from '09 and it apply to 380 yards of offense it is over 21 points? do you really think 7 points is a normal outcome for an offense that puts 380 yards on the board?

Meehl's Maxim would tell us that the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. That should tell you all you need to know about Romo/Phillips Cowboys. Skins was easily the strongest play of the day.Comment -

#115I'd say it's about 50/50 rigged favorable for the home teams. Detroit would be one example, another would be in that Rams game. I'm fairly certain no one here saw the Rams and Cardinals game, well that game was kinda rigged.
The Cardinals was trying to run out the clock in St Louis territory with a little over a minute left, but Hightowers gets called for a fumble after a decent run. On replay it clearly shows that the ground cause the fumble when Hightower was brought down. Fox PA John Lynch and Ron Pitts were baffled how the call wasn't overturn, when the replay was clear as daylight of not being a fumble. The Cardinals eventually won, but had to sweat the 1 minute. Now if that's isn't rigged referee calling wise, what is?
Was watching that one. Absolutely ground caused the fumble. If Arizona keeps the ball, St. Louis calls timeouts and probably Arizona kicks the FG at the end icing the game.
So instead of pushing his 2x pick on the Rams, THE PRICK would have lost. Many of us like SBRJohn and me, sitting with something like +0.80 in the contest, would have our $8 or $9 sitting in our backpockets right now except for the rollover. But hell no, now we got to sweat out his play on Baltimore tonight.
Obviously the fix was in so as to limit the number of players who Beat The Prick in week 1. Look for Baltimore to cover tonight to take those dollars away from us. Most of these fixes flow through offshore channels.
The good thing here though is that we can now pound the Ravens knowing full well THE PRICK fix is in.Comment -

Absolutely valid call, Shanahan turned around before Romo even threw the ball cuz he saw Barron trying to commit second degree assault on Orakpo..that's not a a fix, thats an obvious outcome with Colombo out. Jesus.Comment -

I can think of 3....One time was when He lost one baseball game in the 9th inning after thinking it was over. Then he started another thread involving St Louis, and they were up 2-0 in the first and he was saying "this was the easiest win ever""if St Louis loses then I'll quit posting the rest of the day" next thing you know St Louis was down like 5-2 and he disappeared from the thread. But came back at night to make 4 more threads.Comment -

#128winning each week gets kinda boring, you need a shit kicking once in awhile to put things in perspective. Otherwise you'll be walking around the house in a robe all day long, smoking a pipe and thinking you are the king.Comment -

#138huge cowboys fan here but that was holding. Dallas looks terrible and what was with the playcalling. Any team stupid enough to trade Flozell Adams who was second in the most penalties last year and pick up Barron who led the league in penalties deserves to lose.Comment -

All I know is that a wise man once told me...
"It's good to be king, if just for a while, to be there in velvet, yeah to give them a smile.....and when your bulldog barks, and your canary sings, you're out there with winners, it's good to be king."No more of that talk, or I'll put the leeches on you.Comment
