Who will win N.L. Cy Young?
Is it down to Wainwright, Halliday and Jiminez? Does hudson have a chance?

Who will win if there stats are similar in your opinion? Seems like a really close race this year with no clear favorite at this point. 17 wins wainright, 17 jiminez and 16 halliday, and they are all within .5 era difference.

I think Wainwright is the most valuable to his team and should get it. 2 months ago I would have guaranteed Jimenez would get it, but he's been getting hit lately and his e.r.a is steadily going up. I still think it's up for grabs as of today.

The fact that Jimenez's name has been misspelled in every post minus one, I'm going with the Doc.
1st in Ks and top3 in ERA WHIP and Ws.

As of now Wainwright, but to be honest I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see Tim Hudson work his way in to being a frontrunner. He's coming off his worst start in his last six games, when he gave up two earned over seven innings. The one thing that would probably hurt Huddy if he keeps up is good work and gets that ERA under Wainrights, is that he doesn't strike out nearly as much batters as Wainwright.

Hmm, If I have to vote today I think I go with Halladay.

The fact that Halladay is posting a 7.2 k/BB ratio is amazing ( only 6 pitchers have done that since 1900) Added with is outstanding number over 200 IP already gives him the edge.

Wainwright is close but not quite as good and have done it over less IP (183); On a per innings basis Josh Johnson maybe as good if not better than them, but he has totaled on 83% of the innings Halladay has had -

Jimenez, to me isn;t in the discussion any more, other, And as far as Huddy goes, hes having a great season, not doubt, but the some of the other number just are there, his 1.63 K/BB rate is, quite honestly, terrible - and he's been helped by a good defense and some luck ( reflected in his 3.87 Fip and 4.04xFip)

Thats fine but the Cy if an award for this year only, what a guy did last year or 'every other year' is meaningless.

i'd give it to halladay, he's on pace for 270 innings, something that is never achieved in this era.

speaking of valuable, halladay is a big reason the phils 'pen has pitched the least amount of innings in baseball.

if they make the playoffs they will have the freshest relief arms.

it should be irrelevant but i think the ones with the votes still count it in. I think i remember one year Johan Santana should of got it, he had the best in all areas except for wins I think and he got stiffed.
