What's up Guys? Just joined this awesome site and had a question for all of you. I am looking for a new sportsbook that offers a high wager limit and I was going to use bookmaker, but after reading all these posts, it seems that everyone is loving matchbook. I just wanted to know if any of you knew what their max wager was? I looked on the site but couldn't find it.

Matchbook is an exchange. Any bets you make are matching other players offers (or other players matching your offers).

As such, there is no limit, except that you can only bet whatever $ is available at that particular time.

The liquidity for major US sports at Matchbook is pretty good these days (though I would certainly have another betting out available even if you only bet major sports --if you bet props, or smaller events, you will need another book or two). However, the liquidity at Matchbook is rather low the further out you get from game time.

Keep in mind that just because only say $2,500 is available at X odds, that doesn't mean that that's your limit. You could take that $2,500 and offer $2,500 more or wait and see if more gets put up. Assuming the odds haven't changed at Pinnacle, more $ will show up almost immediately.

So it really depends on what kind of player you are. If you want to hit early lines for high limits, bookmaker (or the greek) are probably your best bets. If you are playing later in the week (NFL) or game day for other sports, you should be able to get down for a significant amount at Matchbook with much better odds.

Personally, I think both books are excellent places to have accounts and I use both.

First off, Let me welcome you to the SBR forum

I think Durito gave a very nice detailed description of Matchbook already. So I'm going to tell you about another book that you might want to check out, and that Book is ABCIslands.

ABCIslands (SBR rated B) based out of Costa Rica has been around since 1996 and is part of the DPT Sports Group. Like their sister book Jazz, they caters to professional players without cutting limits, and is one of few books that are extremely upfront with their "steam chasing/syndicate" rules.

Even though they don't really give out bonuses at all (never got one BTW). They do on occasion give out some to a few of their more squarer type players. Now as far as their customer service goes. Like some other books out there the customer service is Ok and all, but it really could use a little bit of improvement IMO.

The one thing I really disliked about them was their banking options....

For depositing they only offer for U.S. players like myself. They only offer [iSBRFORUM]Western Union[/iSBRFORUM], [iSBRFORUM]Moneygram[/iSBRFORUM], [iSBRFORUM]Cashier's Checks[/iSBRFORUM], and B2B transfers with Cris/Bookmaker. (In case anyone cares they do offer [iSBRFORUM]Neteller[/iSBRFORUM] for non-U.S. players though)

For withdrawing they offer the same options as I posted above, however there charges are a bit ridiculous. For example they charge $80 for a Fedex check from $500- $2000, and usually takes you about a week to receive it. If your going to make a withdraw from their at all use the B2B transfer to [iSBRFORUM]Cris[/iSBRFORUM] for free.

For sportsbooks TheGreek, Pinnacle(if you are non US), and Bookmaker are the way to go for high limit players.
