I agree. This is getting out of control, even with the regular women threads limited to 3x a week still too many copycats. Just put them down in the Private Zone, that makes more sense.

It is not about restricting the forum to betting topics. When you have an excessive, overdone topic that is beyond stale being made every day, it harms the quality of the forum.

Move them to the Private Zone.. They will still get a couple hundred views and be replied to, so it's a win/win for those who enjoy them. I participate them in myself but it's getting annoying having them all in our main forum.

Easy solution..

Move the threads to private after 24 hours.. I like them on the players talk myself.. The threads are getting 30+ replies a piece..

The difference is the threads here are what the posters want to post. Go look at the other forums. 80% of the threads are started by a paid poster, owner or mod of that site. Big difference here. The guys starting rate her looks threads are as welcome as anyone if thats what they enjoy.

Good point but my main concern here is that we get away what separates SBR from the others and that is mainly sports and gambling related stuff.

JJ , i think your just being pissy cause all of your 4-6 word threads are getting bumped. from what i interpret "players talk" as, is any topic a player wants to discuss, about ANYTHING.
JJ you start more threads and give no breakdown of a game yourself, yet you say someone might "learn" something. your threads generally start something like " late game tonight", "small board today" , "who's everyone like today", etc.
you don't post anything in the sports category that pertains to what you are talking about, if you want to call short one liners a actual discussion.
i don't read anything about posters being upset at all the newbies that constantly start threads like "will my credit card work at here or there?", "whats the best book?", "what about moneygram?", etc., etc.
that what this website was started for, i think, was to give that info about rating of books and contact info for people to look it up for themselves.
my suggestion is to allow posters to start a topic in "players talk" about whatever they want as long as its not about a certain sport, if its about NFL, start your thread in there, if its about NHL, start it in there.
i would also like to see a "welcome new posters" section at the very top, and have it say please read the rules(if there are any) before you start a topic. and ask/remind people to use the search feature for topics that could answer their questions before starting a new thread.
