How much better is the 120? Can anyone speak from experience? Thinking about upgrading.
Thanks.

60 to 120 is a bigger difference than 120 to 240... its a slight difference, and not worth a big jump in price, to me anyway
it all depends on the price difference
if you are worried about Hz, and you dont play video games.. get a plasma.. they are cheap now...and most have atleast 600hz

Go with 120Hz bro, you get a faster refresh rate, which translates into a sharper picture when you watch fast moving scenes like sports or action movies. Older 60Hz lcds are cheaper if you're on a budget, but there is noticeable difference. Don't bother with a 240Hz, not worth the money and basically they, (salespeople), are trying to up sale you on a number, because the difference between 120Hz and 240Hz is miniscule at best.

120 Hz is only good for watching sources that are 24 frames per second. Like bluray. This is true because 24 divides evenly into 120 but not into 60. 120 Hz will not stop motion blur, this is because motion blur is generally caused by your source, as in the low quality HD signals that your cable company broadcasts. You do not see motion blur on 60 Hz tvs with high quality HD source, like bluray.
