Here in LODI,CA- there is a beautiful card room and dining room called Wine Country Card Room. About 10 big screen TV'S and great separate bar. There is CA. style blackjack, and you can be the bank. Open till 4 am-and they are making great money. Just left. 300.00 limit on BJ.

Some municipalities started granting licenses for card rooms in southern California in the early 70's and was limited to weird ass limit games until someone challenged and won a law and Hold'em was allowed to be played. My dates are probably off but whatever.

Dealers/Waitresses/Brush/Cashier/Prop Players/Cheats/Security at a minimum under employ + standard overheads in any business. Cut throat competition as well and rooms can cannibalize each other.

If you're serious draw up a business plan and post it on 2+2 Business/Finance/Investing. Think of them as unpaid consultants as most in there have better advice in this specific area than anything you can hire elsewhere.

Well it cannot be that easy and probably costs a lot, some clown is just not going to open one and make money. It is not that easy or everyone would do it.

Running illegal games is cheap but you will eventually have legal issues and be buried the rest of your life.
