Hypothetically speaking...
Ive always said These poker card rooms are basically a license to print money. what overhead do they actually have and what is the start up costs?
over here in Sacramento, ca. Most tables have a $4 drop per hand and average 20 hands a hour if not a little bit more. I'd say a good average is 4 tables going for the entire 24 hour period. Peak hours have about 10 tables but from about 4 am to 10 am prob only 2 tables are going(full tables).
This comes out to. $230k a month just in rake. This is not including food and alcohol sales.
How much is rent on a 3-4,000 square foot card room? How much would your insurance be? Your gambling and alcohol licenses and insurance per month?
Are your expenses really that high?
As far as the employees go the dealers make $8 a hour so.
I know im probably missing a lot but cant see how expenses can be more than about 75k a month on a poker room and just with a 4 table average 24 hours a day your pulling in 230k just in rake.
