I teach English. It involves grading endless stacks of papers that might cause you to lose your appetite for the rest of the day, but I love my job. The semester is over now, so I am off until the end of August. Can't complain.

Plus, you also have to deal with parents in schools. It is easier to just teach students. I used to teach middle school for a few years, it was exhausting. Teenagers are hysterical but tiring. They can truly suck all the energy out of you.

middle school. I think that's a good age, 6-8 grade, where you can mold a mind! LoL! I have always been a huge history buff. History & social sciences.

I taught English and Social Studies when I taught middle school. It was a private school, so I had to be flexible and teach history even though my degree is in lit. Funny memories...my first year I started a section on the Vietnam War and asked my 6th graders..."So, who has seen "Platoon"?...I know, I should have known better, right?
