    SUPERBOWL DAY VIDEO: Donk surveys collateral damage of huge htown explosion....

    someone even made a thread about the huge explosion in htown, and people were asking me if i felt it when it happened....

    given that it went off at 4 am, I slept through it.... but, on a recent family outing to a restaurant over in west houston near the site, and knowing it hurt some of my favorite hangouts (Chica's sports bar, a video store, etc.), I decided to go check it out.......

    first, an photo taken from the air:



    The explosion that ripped across Houston at 4:24 a.m. Friday killed two workers at Watson Grinding and Manufacturing before radiating outward and smashing into nearby homes and businesses. It knocked houses off foundations, blew doors off frames, shattered windows, cracked sheetrock and jerked residents awake as far as 14 miles away.
    Firefighters and police officers who arrived at the Spring Branch-area neighborhood found debris scattered across an area more than half a mile wide and a community reeling.

    and of course, after the initial shock of finding our favorite video store had been blown up, it ultimately devolved into a doc johnson's dong war between me and my brother in law and a few other family members.....

    I was in Houston at friends a few miles away in Spring Branch when it happened. The explosion was f#k'n incredible. No damage at my friends house but everyone in neighborhood came outside at 4:30 AM looking around for a car bomb or plane crash.

    Every car alarm on the street was going off.

    You could feel the explosion... it wakes your a$$ up pretty quick.

    if it hadn't been at 4 in the morning, many more people would have died..... that porn place was blown to shit....

    wild thing was, we walked through the entire business, there were fukkin' beds i the back of that fukker.... maybe for the night shift to sleep in, but talk about a creepy f'n place.....
