This is a horrible idea. The reason you take a 300 - 1 team is so that you can hedge at the right time. A friend of mine had a futures bet on the Falcons while we were in Vegas in September. He bet $50 to win $7,000. I told him all week to hedge the shit out of the bet where he would have been guaranteed $3k. He wouldn't. I begged him at halftime when the Patriots were 25 to 1 to at least lay $200 and he would be guaranteed either $7k or $5k but he was sipping champagne and did not want to jinx his beloved Falcons.
