#37That may be good to get a college schollie but the real talent will shine much, much earlier. Most of these kids in the draft are 18, 19 and 20. If your kid is 19 in HS, he's either dumb as hell or not talented enough.Comment -

#39I honestly don't have a problem with this... if a kid is that damn good at 11 years old... then bless that little man. Give him a scholarship.
Stephen A. Smith does a 180 on everything. Getting tired of him.Comment -

#40Having Lebron's son at your school is just as good as having Lebron there. He will forever be a fan of said school. That's a huge recruiting tool in itself. Calipari ain't no dummy.Comment -

#46Pedigree is a big part of it. We can't deny it anymore. 1) Do they have the money and knowledgeable parents to get to ball 5 days a week? The right private sessions? 2) the connections? 3) Do they have the genes?
Its not as much hard work as we like to tell our kids when we say they can be anything if they work at it. They have to do it but the hands are dealt.
Look at this kid. You can tell who his dad is just by watchin his drive and already has that messed up jumper! ha

More like AC Green
Ya know, there always were "those kinda questions" about AC when he was playing in LA (virgin, gay, etc.); EJ born in '92 right after Magic announced the ol HIV to the world. Perhaps Cookie had him over one day in '91 for a lil turkey baster play?

#48I really don't understand Magic Johnson as a father... not pushing his son into basketball. Blows my mind.
But... whatever.Comment -

#49Back in those days it was more a pain in the ass to have to deal with Ego-centric parents like MJ. Look how Marcus strong armed UCF to terminate their contract with Adidas.
Marcus Jordan played college basketball at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida.[5] During his freshman year, UCF was in the final year of a five-year contract with Adidas, but Jordan insisted on wearing NikeAir Jordan shoes out of loyalty to his father, Michael Jordan. This eventually prompted Adidas to terminate its sponsorship deal with UCF.[6]
Look at all the attention Jeffrey Jordan received as well. He's only like 6 feet.
Jeffrey Jordan has been the subject of local and national media attention, and had three of his high school games broadcast nationally on ESPN in 2007.[4] Jordan also played football in his sophomore year at Loyola Academy.
Now a day's, coaches are a lot better at leveraging these kids with superstar parents. They can use the parents to promote the team and be a recruiting tool for the program. They even hit the parents up for endowments, etc., so they come in with cash as well. I'd give Bronny a scholarship right now too. It is a win, win no doubt.

#53NBA legend (and current scout) Rudy Tomjanovich says he ain't the least bit surprised that LeBron James' son, Bronny, reportedly has top level college offers ... at 12 YEARS OLD!!
If ya haven't seen him play ... Bronny James has been DOMINATING youth bball tourneys across the country. He's so good, LeBron has said colleges (reportedly schools like Duke and Kentucky) have been recruiting him for years.
So, when we saw Rudy -- a Lakers scout and former All-Star player and championship winning coach -- in L.A., we asked for his professional opinion on Bronny.
