If Cleveland Had Wiggins Instead of Irving, Would They Have Been Better?

I think Irving is Rose 2.0. Trade him ASAP while you can.

Yes wiggins is better than Irving already

Count in injuries and realize Irving is made of glass

Cleveland would be better with wiggins and no Love or Irving at this point

Shouldn't the question be Wiggins vs. Love?

Lebron should win else his legacy is tarnished. Makes you wonder it was Wade that was carrying him in Miami.

I never understood why the cavs had to make the wiggins for love trade before the season. It should never have been championship or bust with that roster. See what you have in wiggins and Bennett when you already have varejou.

I think you are right about the Irving injuries - great potential - but can't withstand the NBA pounding. The injury last night was just cutting toward the basket - if his legs can't take that - he might as well forget it. What about some light brace - but, then I guess something else blows out. He's had, what - like 15 injuries in his pro career???

Definitely better considering injuries. Remember, Irving barely even played in college due to injuries. Guys got bones made of glass.

Wiggins = Rookie of the Year and has DEFINITELY not peaked yet lol obviously

And considering the Cavs, wiggins would be much more valuable than Irving. LeBron already plays PG, so don't reallyyyyy need Irving. And Irving was a defensive liability in the reg season and historically. Meanwhile Wiggins is a top 10 defensive player in the league and can clearly drive and score too.

What were you laughing at again??

Trading Wiggins could go down as top 3 blunders of all times in NBA

    Time will tell

he has played in over 70 games each of the last 2 years. outside of this injury how have injuries hindered him in the nba? kyrie is arguably a top 10 player in the league, wiggins isnt even close. maybe one day but nowhere near that now.

Wiggins has a lot of talent but he won't be anything special for a few more years. Very limited offensive game and he is not a top 10 defender like someone else in this thread stated. He is still just a kid on the absolute worst team in NBA. Throwing him onto a roster with LeBron would have been a huge mistake so Cavs went out and got the poor man's white version of Chris Bosh in Kevin Love. Irving for Wiggins was never on the table so it seems the op is unaware how things in real world work. Irving is not going anywhere and should be fine for next season.

You can't be serious are you? Hebron was that team. Wade was great with lebrun and when wade won his first title that was an all time performs but if lebrun was not in miami do you think they make it to the finals even once?

Irving will miss the first part of next season and if you look at his history going back to Duke he never finishes a season healthy. The Cavs ran him into the ground when his knee was already shot and I say he's going the way of D Rose. You can be delusional about his health all you want saying he'll be fine next season but history says otherwise
