He puts at least 2000 people in the seats with out him 500.Miami should be pretty decent next year without injuries there best player I think is Christian Yelich he has a very bright future he is just buried in Miami where nobody sees him.

He will get paid more than anyone on that team. His team mates will get jealous of him and resent him.

    Seems fair

Better to Pay him 25 mil/year vs A-rod/Hamilton who are useless

Stanton will put up solid numbers for at least 5 more years before starting to decline

Maybe more than the rest of the team combined. Unless Miami going to suddenly start having a serious payroll, then this is wack.

    hitting does not win WS

They rarely have in baseball history

Its all pitching people with average and below average hitters and good fielders

Neither side has signed a contract.

    Research much?

Hoping the deal gets done. Marlins will go to the NLCS within 5 years if the deal goes through.

Millions upon millions try to make the major leagues.

750 people on the earth actually play in the majors.

Stanton is in the top 5 valuable players out of those 750.

    He deserves the money.

Makes no sense at all. I'm supposed to believe the marlins are going to spend big money and keep the people they sign? Just a big contract they will trade for prospects. Nothing more

theres not one player in the league that is worth that. The player I would pay the highest is trout just because hes young and i wouldnt pay him 325 million. Everyone in the Florida front office should be fired for agreeing to this

About 2000 assholes in an over half billion dollar stadium, career batting average of .271, and averaging over 6 errors in the field a season. Great sign, .

Any pro sports player should not make more than let's say $20.000 a month. I mean seriously, what are they actually doing to make millions?

Miami has spent $650 million on salaries the last 13 years, and now they plan on spending half that amount on 1 player for the next 13?

750 people on the planet played in the major leagues last year.

Stanton is in the top 5 of the 750 best baseball players on the planet.

Horrible contract but good for Stanton. Those stingy penetrates have been getting rich and not spending money since 1999.

What I want to know is why Stanton took the deal? He would been a Yankee and played in a much bigger city and place that appreciates him.

Did you fall down 3 flights of stairs when you were a toddler?

He isn't a FA for 2 more years and was within an inch of losing his left eye near the end of last season. He's going to turn down $300 million?

    Exactly.

And you don't hear people whining nearly as much about his earnings as they do about baseball players.
