Hey good poker people!
Great game to all and thanks to SBR and Opti for running an awesome tournament!

Guys and gals I was down to my last 5k about 3 bb’s after a tough beat that snagged most of my stack.
Got hot on a few all in shoves and battled back! And just ran damn good the rest of the way.
Leaderboard was crazy there for a while, trading spots back and forth.
Dedicating this win to Bob Weir. Rest easy brother.
And to our ‘ol school SBR poker guys, many of whom are no longer with us.

It’s was really nice playing good competitive poker with you all.

There are a couple of guys who are in but played only a handful of weekly poker tournaments. The way you qualify for the Grand Finale is beat everyone (combined poker+NFL picks score) for *one week only*. So if you go 3 out of 3 on picks, and last for 80-90 minutes in the Sunday tournament, you have a good chance.

It really depends on who else is at the final table with you. If they don't pick well, you can finish 4-5th in poker and still end up with week's highest score. Or second highest and still qualify if the leader had already qualified for the Grand Finale.

TLDR: You should play.

Exactly. It’s just one strong week. Hit your picks, hang around in the poker tourney, and you’ve got a chance. Definitely worth playing.

I guess it would be possible but I am guessing several people will go 3-0 on picks so I doubt poker alone will get you there. But if you play weekly poker might get qualified with best 6 on points.

That’s fair. I agree you probably don’t have to play both, but poker alone feels like a long shot unless you’re consistently near the top each week. Mixing in picks seems like the safer path to rack up points.
