Ever since about early August, i've had sleep issues. I swear i wake up, almost like clockwork about 5 hours after i go to sleep, 4 or 5 AM and then the fuk if i can get back to sleep.

but here's the kicker. I have been on Ambien CR for almost 2 months and its still going on, i can't even imagine how i would be without it now, so i feel like i'm fukked.

No Ambien and no sleep, or ambien forever, and not enough sleep.

Also taking klonopin to help with anxiety, that works fine, and i am much better there. But its like i am hooked on this ambien now.

I need some advice that works guys, its a prescription addition i wish i never heard of because this has its hooks in me.
I hear ya, been there, at least with the pills available here in Costa Rica, once you stop 'em you don't sleep. Waht I did to solve this issue was trying to skip sleeping every other day, one week after that system you will be sleeping like a baby, and, my good old firend J&B may help you, have a sip of scotch before going to sleep and it'll boost you drowsiness.

Step 1. Get the fuk off SBR and every other gambling or sports related website.

Step 2. Throw the drugs away. They aren't going to cure anything.

Step 3. Seek pychological counsel for your addiction.

Not to downplay the serious nature of this post but that is damn funny.

Now to answer your post, when you take such medication as ambien and klonopin you must take it every night or you will never sleep good. I've experienced such. Say you take it three nights in a row, your fourth night you're ****ed if you don't take it again. If you wish to not take the medication anymore BOL on your quitting but it will help you sleep more consistently. Try valum and/or xanax if u must instead of ambien and klonopin, much better in a lot of aspects IMO.

              Later, BOL, Seriously

Do you want a serious answer? I had this same problem for years. I did the Ambien deal and in the long run it only made things worse. You will become so used to that drug that the only thing it will give you is the side affects and no sleep. Happened to me. None of them work in the long run. They aren't meant for the long run.

I am up right now and haven't slept one hour and it is 4:00 am. The only reason I am up is because I couldn't walk today. I had a minor operation and walking wasn't allowed. I can almost guarantee you that if you start walking your sleep problems will disappear. I walk 4 or 5 miles almost every day. When I don't I feel like crap and can't sleep, even after sex. Pot only works for half a night or so, drugs don't work at all.

One caveat, you cannot take a slow stroll. You must walk fairly fast. I would say at least 4 miles an hour. That is not super fast but you must move quickly. Even a bit faster would be better. When I was younger I ran every day about an 11 minute mile, not extremely fast but I did it for many miles. No sleep problems. When I stopped sleep problems began. Now at my age running is out of the question. But, almost anybody can walk fast. I combine this with some light weight training and you will be tired enough to sleep. Promise. It takes a little bit of a commitment and it isn't easy if you must work, but you should give it an honest effort. It's for your health. Besides the sleeping part you will lose weight, lower your bp, improve your blood lipids and just feel a ton better. Takes dedication.

When I was running nothing stopped me, not even the weather. I would run in pouring rain, and tons of snow. I had no excuses. In fact, I loved to run in the rain. It was refreshing. I will bet right now a couple runners are reading this and shaking their head yes. I know the rest of you think we are crazy, but we aren't. I wish I could still run. Walking will have to do.

Give it a try my friend, give it a good month. You will sleep.

Oh, and btw if you are bored walking you must get a shuffle or some other devise that allows you to listen to music. You can get free music on the net through a couple sites, load your shuffle and off you go. I usually count twenty or so songs and that is usually between 4 and 5 miles. Every couple of weeks or so you can change the music so you never become bored. After a while you will even enjoy it.

Working in the medical field here are some Tips.....

-Firstly why are you on klonapin? For sleep issues, or do you have a real anxiety issue? If its simply for sleep-stop it. If you have been diagnosed with a real anxiety issue it needs to be addressed.
-Stop taking ambien, or any sleeping pills. They develop dependency, and work less as time goes on. If you ever want real sleep, get rid of them.
-Do you ever have to wake up in the middle of the night to urinate, then can't go to sleep? If so, limit your fluid intake a 3-4 hours before bed.
-No coffee(unless decaf), soda, or anything else with caffeine anywhere near bedtime. I think Caffeine stays in you for over 6 hours.
-Do not go anywhere near your bed unless its sleep time. Stay out of it the entire day, and NO Naps.
-Take away any stimulants when your in your bed. Im talking about your computer, tv, or loud radios in your bedroom. Make your room for one purpose: sleep.
-Heres the big one--Exercise and activity. Im not talking about increasing it until you can sleep right. Tai boxing, walking, ju jitsu, boxing, swimming, weight lifting, You need to work your but off and keep increasing it. Up your activity, or you will never sleep. You ever see the movie fight club? Its actually true that type of activity will help u sleep.
-Try to make good habits. Try to go to sleep, and wake up around the same time everyday. We all like to sleep in on the weekend some times, but for the most part create a routine your bed can get use to.(Your circadian rythm is obv off right now)

If your willing to make lifestyle changes described above, it might take some time but you will go back to sleeping and Im talking long term--And naturally without pills. Temporary solutions like pills will only lead you further down the spiral.

                    Hope this helps.

i have suffered with anxiety for years , for a long time i avoided any drug, but now i take klopanin and it has improved my life 1000 times, medication is needed for some, the natural way is ideal but not for everyone, and the stuff about needing more and more isn't true for everyone, i have been on the same dose for 4years

I wake up about three hours after I go to sleep, but it's just to pee. This will happen to all of you guys when you're 50+. I go back to sleep and wake up three hours later to pee again. By then it's usually in the 4-5 a.m. hour which is what time I get up anyway. One to three cocktails per evening is also recommended.

Brock you cannot simply quit taking Ambien or Klonopin. The withdrawals from those drugs can be deadly. I tried to stop taking Xanax after only using for about a month and I hallucinated for 2 days before I walked outside to get some fresh air, the trees turned purple, and I collapsed and had a grand mal seizure that almost killed me because it lasted so long. When I came to it took me a very long time to remember what my name was, what country I lived in, what month it was, etc. I had no idea who the people were around me, and it was my family. Doctor said I had quit breathing for a while and was very close to permanent brain damage. That is when I learned that benzo withdrawal kills more people than any other drug withdrawal. Ambien is almost a benzo and the withdrawal from that can kill you as well. Klonopin is a benzo along with xanax, valium, etc.

Check out the Ashton manual, google it. You need to follow that to get off those drugs, they are no joke I found out the hard way. I have withdrawn from every drug type imaginable and nothing comes remotely close to benzos. It is a living nightmare to withdraw from them.

close your eyes. Imagine a tree with leaves. It's fall and the the leaves are turning color and falling off. Focus on one leaf only as it struggles to break loose with the help of a cool breeze. Now, follow that leaf and is breaks loose and gently falls to the ground.

It worked for a friend of mine. It was suggested by a psychologist and he literally can fall asleep anytime he does it. I have seen him go it and within 30 seconds he is snoozin'

I actually tried it once. It worked

falling asleep really isn't the problem, its STAYING asleep, and this started happening after 1)i gave up gambling for real and 2)i got job stress that freaked me out to this day and will probably end up getting me laid off.

Wileout, the klonopin is only .5 **, very small dose, what dose are you at? Its the 12.5 ** of ambien CR thats fukking me up about getting off, its not working as of now, that is, in Keeping me asleep, so i wonder if its more psychological, i don't know really, its just very confusion.
