Does SBR still have a genuine commitment to advising players about books?

I get my ratings from JJ and Richkas. These two put more work for the average poster than all the mods combined.

    rebatewagering, creditwagering A+ books

SBR needs to keep the ratings up to date and anything less means the forum means more money than the ratings and keeping up to date with the complaints do.

BetEd says nothing about not accepting Canadians. The one good thing is Cascade at least has been updated this year but still scamming people. Las Palmas who was a BTP book last year has been dropped to a D. There used to be regular updates on E mails sent to books and how they responded, and that's been gone for over a year. SBR is now a money making machine and they like it that way.

Sorry SBR that's the way I see it.
Good post and nice catch on the Betmaker not displaying as merged/Beted Canadian thing. They've both been corrected.

We actually have updated the Email Response test recently: sportsbook response test.

So he called you but John can't get a hold of him to get him to start posting or even logging in. This is weird.

That used to be a predominately displayed thing. I haven't seen it in over a year. It's on a page that most people would never find. Why no forum topic to display it as was done in the past.

Not sure but Ganchrow had to borrow 2 bucks for a cup of coffee at the Golden Nuggett. Things may be bad for him right now.

              He did pay back.
PiMike- how does Bens azz taste these days???

I've never needed to access SBR in this capacity, so I don't know if this is common or represents a new direction for the company that is more about pizzas and points than disputes and ratings.
i will saY the rx,eog and sbr are the big three of the industry.this site eventhough they need the advertising dollars i believe sbr does the best jobs of putting the infornation out there.its like chuck sims says, its up to the player to tell others about no pays, slow pays, and the ones that do pay.this site lets people complain about advertising books without putting pople on watch,or just taking what you say completely off like the RX.

Mudcat- As usual when you post about SBR, I'm in awe of your diplomacy in evaluating the current state of affairs in contrast to the ideals the site was founded on. I agree with every point that you made, most especially the fact that their approach to management of the forum seems carefully calculated to marginalize any information beneficial to players. It's obvious that in the beginning, they valued their reputation and integrity above all else, but now the almighty dollar has the final say.
when does the almighty dollar not have the final say? everyone, even sbr, is motivated by self interest. and making money is usually number 1 on that list. when did sbr ever claim to be saints or angels? they are in business to make money. is this somehow a surprise? but like with anything it's also buyer beware. you don't have to buy what sbr is selling. surely any site receiving ad revenue from the books they are suppose to be grading is going to have a conflict of interest. you're delusional to think otherwise. there's a reason consumer reports magazine doesn't have ads. maybe it wasn't as obvious in the beginning, but it has always been about the almighty dollar. and there's nothing necessarily wrong with that.
