NFL Mock Draft: Picks & Prop Bets
    By: Michael McClymont

    1. Carolina Panthers: Bryce Young, QB, Alabama

Bet: Exact Order - 1st Bryce Young, 2nd Tyree Wilson, 3rd Paris Johnson Jr. (+1100 via FanDuel)

"Draft exactas are now available. We can't recommend betting Young to be the first pick at his current odds, so we'll look to make a profit by combining the favorites at the first three picks."

    2. Houston Texans: Tyree Wilson, EDGE, Texas Tech

    Bet:
Number 2 Overall Pick - Tyree Wilson (+135 via BetMGM)

"The way the steam is trending, Wilson's odds could drop below even money in the hours prior to the draft."

    3. Arizona Cardinals: Paris Johnson Jr., OL, Ohio State

Bet: 3rd Overall Pick - Paris Johnson Jr. (+400 via BetMGM)

"Johnson's odds to be the first offensive lineman drafted are as pricey as -320. His odds to go third overall are +400 at BetMGM."

    4. Indianapolis Colts: Will Levis, QB, Kentucky

    Bet:
4th Overall Pick - Will Levis (+130 via DraftKings)

"The Indianapolis Colts might not have to trade up to get their quarterback after all. If the Texans and Cardinals opt for a defender and O-lineman, owner Jim Irsay can get the franchise quarterback he seeks at fourth overall."

    5. Seattle Seahawks: Anthony Richardson, QB, Florida

    Bet:
Team to draft Anthony Richardson - Seahawks (+250 via DraftKings)

"The Seahawks re-signed Comeback Player of the Year Geno Smith to a three-year contract, but it carries a potential out after one season. Seattle sorely needs edge help, but it won't pass up an opportunity to resolve the future at QB."

    NFL Draft Bold Predictions

Shane Jackson: Ravens draft RB Bijan Robinson (+4000 via FanDuel)

"Let’s get weird, shall we? Texas running back Bijan Robinson is being mocked by many to No. 8 by the Atlanta Falcons, despite the fact a running back hasn’t been drafted in the top 10 since 2018. But many NFL teams will be tempted by Robinson outside the top 10.

The Ravens pick at No. 23, and will likely target a wide receiver or cornerback. If neither are available, I wouldn’t be surprised if they view Robinson as too much of a steal at that spot. The Ravens selected safety Kyle Hamilton at No. 14 and center Tyler Linderbaum at No. 25 last year, neither of which are considered premium positions.

Baltimore is going to try to make Lamar Jackson happy, and an offensive weapon like Robinson could do just the trick in the midst of contract negotiations. If Jackson ends up playing elsewhere, Baltimore’s next quarterback could be stepping in a favorable position with a supporting group that features Robinson, tight end Mark Andrews, and wideouts Rashod Bateman and Odell Beckham Jr.

At +4000, it's worth a flier on a team that we know likes to run the ball."

Michael McClymont: Giants draft WR Quentin Johnston (+1100 via bet365)

"No chance the New York Giants enter the 2023 season with Sterling Shepard, Parris Campbell, Isaiah Hodgins, and Wan'Dale Robinson leading the depth chart at receiver. The free-agent market was thin at receiver, but the draft pool is deep, especially with first-round talents.

ESPN's Todd McShay believes TCU's Quentin Johnston is among a group of three wideout prospects that can go in the No. 20-to-31 range. The Giants pick 25th and could use a 6-foot-3 target who can make quarterback Daniel Jones look good by breaking tackles and busting off yards after the catch. See: His 163-yard performance versus Michigan in the College Football Playoff semifinal."

Jon Metler: No. 6 overall pick - Lukas Van Ness (+7500 via FanDuel)

"I've read a few mock drafts that suggest the Detroit Lions might choose a defensive lineman with their sixth overall pick, with players like Tyree Wilson, Will Anderson, or Jalen Carter being the most commonly mentioned. However, I have a bold prediction that the Lions will surprise everyone and pick Lukas Van Ness from Iowa to pair with Aidan Hutchinson.

Van Ness seems like the kind of player that Dan Campbell, the Lions' coach, would like, and his weaknesses are some of Hutchinson's strengths. With some mentorship from Hutchinson, Van Ness could become another star on the defensive line.

This might seem like a long shot at +7500, but if you look at some mock drafts, you'll see that many of them have Van Ness being drafted in the top 10, just not necessarily by the Lions."

Neil Parker: Under 4.5 quarterbacks in Round 1 (+160 via bet365)

"This is strictly a fade on Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker being selected in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

The already 25-year-old prospect suffered a torn ACL in his left knee in November and ran a one-read offense with the Volunteers that will make acclimatizing to the NFL a potentially steep learning curve. Those are two immediate red flags.

My first reason for some hesitation, though, is I don’t trust NFL executives to make the right decision. Project quarterbacks are selected too early nearly every year; just look at the 2021 and 2018 quarterback classes for examples of that.

The second cause for concern is there’s been considerable steam on the odds for Hooker to be selected in the first round, and I’m going against the line movement with this bold prediction."
