This is a huge addition for the Giants. He can play third or outfield and is immediate impact to their lineup

Light years better option than Flores or any other replacement player that's for sure.
                Great pick up.

I love me some Wilmer Flores but Bryant is a good pickup and can play the corner infield and outfield spots so he's a big addition to the Giants not to mention they didn't give up their best prospects to get him.

not the superstar he looked like he was going to be but very dependable and solid. slightly above average fielder, 33+ HR a year

Oh yeah! This is definitely what Giants need right now. It's going to exciting down the stretch.

Exactly. The guy is a .229 postseason hitter. He has done nothing for years in the playoffs and that's what they got him for. He had one good postseason. The great players get hits in series even when the team loses.

Prospect Package Cubs got back on 4 major pieces was interesting. Oddly, best player came back for Baez. Even if injured, Pete Crow-Armstrong is a potential Jim Edmonds type CF. Didn't get much for Kris Bryant. Did OK on Rizzo & Kimbrel. Bailey Horn a very solid piece for Tepera.

Makes no sense with Longoria coming back in a few weeks.
They gave up their best minor league pitcher who will probably make it to the majors next year, 2022

Bryant can play all over the place. They'll probably play him in the Outfield against lefties and occasionally at third and first.

I’m not a Kris Bryant fan by any means but to illustrate that he’s having a real nice season…….

Even after Votto hit a HR in 7 straight games or whatever the streak is at now, Bryant still has a higher WAR than Votto.

                                                    2021 WAR so far……..

                                                    Kris Bryant: 2.8

                                                    Mookie Betts: 2.9

It’s a nice pick up by the Giants and I can’t stand the Giants.

                                                        Yeah.
Pretty much the same wOBA as Xander Bogarts and Trea Turner.

No knock on Flores, he's a good dugout guy and all and versatile, but if you can grab a Bryant for a stretch run on the cheap, you go for it.

Bryant is versatile. He fills many holes the Giants currently have. Plus he is a winning player and good for their clubhouse

Bryant peaked very early in his career and never improved

He has an inside out swing - hitting a lot of balls to center-right center that will go to die there. Considering all the analytics teams use, I hope the Giants looked at his spray charts before making that trade. We shall see.
