Light years better option than Flores or any other replacement player that's for sure.

#9I love me some Wilmer Flores but Bryant is a good pickup and can play the corner infield and outfield spots so he's a big addition to the Giants not to mention they didn't give up their best prospects to get him.Originally posted by stevenashLight years better option than Flores or any other replacement player that's for sure.

#16Exactly. The guy is a .229 postseason hitter. He has done nothing for years in the playoffs and that's what they got him for. He had one good postseason. The great players get hits in series even when the team loses.Originally posted by jjgoldHe is an average player thats all

#17Prospect Package Cubs got back on 4 major pieces was interesting. Oddly, best player came back for Baez. Even if injured, Pete Crow-Armstrong is a potential Jim Edmonds type CF. Didn't get much for Kris Bryant. Did OK on Rizzo & Kimbrel. Bailey Horn a very solid piece for Tepera.Comment -

#22Bryant can play all over the place. They'll probably play him in the Outfield against lefties and occasionally at third and first.Originally posted by eidolonMakes no sense with Longoria coming back in a few weeks.

#25I’m not a Kris Bryant fan by any means but to illustrate that he’s having a real nice season…….
Even after Votto hit a HR in 7 straight games or whatever the streak is at now, Bryant still has a higher WAR than Votto.Comment -

Pretty much the same wOBA as Xander Bogarts and Trea Turner.
No knock on Flores, he's a good dugout guy and all and versatile, but if you can grab a Bryant for a stretch run on the cheap, you go for it.Comment -

#29Bryant is versatile. He fills many holes the Giants currently have. Plus he is a winning player and good for their clubhouse

#34Kris Bryant is theoretically a good pickup, but I think he’s a horrible fit for that ballpark. He has an inside out swing - hitting a lot of balls to center-right center that will go to die there. Considering all the analytics teams use, I hope the Giants looked at his spray charts before making that trade. We shall see.Comment -
